Great read - nice for to take on a vacation, August 16, 2009
This review is from: Mad About the Boy (Paperback)
I actually discovered Maggie Alderson while in Australia - I was shocked that I had never heard of this author before as I love chick-lit and she writes similar to my favorite author being Marian Keyes. Anyway, picked this book up over there (which btw...you'll pay an arm and a leg for books out there, a paperback which would cost $12 in the US was $25 over there -the publishing houses have a hold or something, who knows). Anyway, while the book was totally unrealistic I still loved it. There were enough twists and turns to keep your attention and it was just a fun book to read. I actually couldn't put the book down and finished in about two days.
She's a very cleaver writer and has a way to really paint a picture for you. I would suggest this book to people who do enjoy chick lit and are looking for a fun summer or vacation read.
