Better than Jack Kerouac, May 5, 2009
This review is from: Mad Anatomy (Paperback)
Mad Anatomy is one of the best books I have ever read. I am a difficult reader, having read extensively all my life. My favorite authors are Simone de Beauvoir, Doris Lessing, Virginia Wolf, Marguerite Yourcenar and Tom Robbins to mention a few.
Kimberly Nichols impressed me by her extensive vocabulary, experience of life and writing skills. She is in mid-thirties. I give her book to my best friends for their birthday, because they appreciate good literature, good women's stories, insights into the feminine psyche. It is amazing going through this author's point-of-view, this consciousness, as a young woman.
I recommend this book as one in a lifetime's treasure: a diamond in a cherry blossom.
Rough at times, sexual, sensuous, clever, witty, and you may start to see your life, as being very limited, if you compare to the unlimited grounds she offers to explore.
