My husband and I gave this game to our son along with Mario Kart for Christmas. He has played this game nonstop since he got it unlike the Mario Kart that he hasn't touched since the first day. I enjoy playing this game and while the graphics might not be the "best" I think it is an easy game for my 5 year old to play. If you have a young child who likes Madagascar they will like this game. The fun thing about this game is that Shrek and Bob are bonus characters that also appear as racers.

This was fun for my 4 year old. She adores the madagascar characters and it was fun for her to see them on a wii game and pick which character she wanted to have. Do not try to compare this to mario kart or you will be disappointed. The concept is the same, but the graphics are nothing like mario's. You will get to race and unlock characters (like shrek...why shrek?) and unlock race courses. You still get mystery boxes but they are different than the mario karts. Overall, its a great game for the younger crowd (I'd say 8 and under because my 10 year old doesn't like it). You can use the same wheel/controller that comes with wii's mario kart, no need to purchase the madagascar wheel unless that is what you want.

We bought this for our 4 year old for Christmas. She LOVES it! It's simple enough she can play it without adult help, and asks to play it every day.

We gave this to my 7 year old for his Birthday. Any games we have obviously get played by my other Children as well. My 3 1/2 year old normally comes crying to me for help with the games. This game he did not! He can play it all by himself! I love that this game truly is E for Everyone.

I bought Madagascar Kartz because of how much my kids love playing Mario Karts. They had fun playing Madagascar but it didn't last for long. In the end, they went back to Mario Karts.

We picked this up for our children recently, and we have as much fun with it as they do! The carts can be a little hard to control at times, but it's a good game overall.

For all you graphics geeks out there, this is based on an animated movie, and the game animation looks a LOT like the movie. Don't look for realism here! The graphics are appropriate for the intent of the game -- a movie tie in for children of all ages!

Great game! Played it with my 8yr old the other day and its really easy and fun. Some of the other wii racing games she gets discouraged with because they're hard to get around the courses, you gotta use alot of the button at once, etc. Not this one! Perfect for kids but I admit I like playing too!

As the title of this review notes, I was disappointed in this game. Although the characters are great and true to the movies, it often is unclear what one is supposed to do and when. Power-ups are not clearly defined as to what they are and when to use them or even how you got them in the first place. Although it tries to be Madagascar's version of MarioKart, it does not come close to the playability and replayability of MK. I suspect that very young children--say, 4-7--might enjoy it, if they can figure out the many controls that must be used, but not this adult.

Very boring! Like others I thought it would be like Mario Kart, but its not. Its hard to control, no kart selection, no good courses, and just boring. There is quite a bit of advertising, too. For example they had Shrek and a character from Monsters Inc to earn. I would get Mario Kart instead of this.

My young sons enjoy playing this Wii driving game. They are ages 7 and 4. The first driving game I got them was HotWheels. It was way too hard to steer. Even I have trouble keeping the cars on the track. In contrast, Madagascar Kartz is a fun game for younger children. It is perfect for their skill levels. We don't have Mario Kartz yet so I have no basis for comparison to that.
