4.0 out of 5 stars One of the best movie novelizations I have ever read, February 3, 2008
I watched the movie twice before I read this book and I recently reread it again. Unlike so many other novelizations of movies that are poorly written and appear to be little more than a cheap attempt to capitalize on the popularity of the movie, this one is good. The writing is splendid and the story keeps very close to the action in the movie. It also fleshes out the action a little bit by giving some background on the history of Mad Max, Aunty Entity and Master. If you have seen the original movie, then the information on Max will not be new, however if you haven't, then it will be helpful. This is one of the best movie novelizations that I have ever read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Free SF Reader, December 18, 2007
This review is from: Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome (Paperback)
A story of flaming revenge, the search for petrol, and it it doesn't hurt if you have a shotgun, either.

Max is a cop, doing his best in a seriously failing society when he runs into a crazed gangster called the Night Rider.

This ends up with his family dead, quite a lot of car wrecking and loud noises in this future decaying Australia.

A pretty decent novelisation.
