Amazing Series, Brilliant Writers, Actors, Cast, Set & Costume Design, Awesome 60's Detail. Season 1 will get you hooked, Season 2 will leave you wanting more. Very Addictive! Appeals to young, old, men, women and different cultures. But Season 1 is necessary to watch for the great ride..Great as a gift or better yet gift yourself. Now I know how addiction feels..without any side effects! Brilliant Show!

MAD MEN is amazing! I bought seasons 1 & 2. I already have seen them, so I know theyre great. I bought the two seasons online for My fiancee for Chrismtas, and he was delighted. :) A+

One reviewer apparently bought cheap NEW knock-offs, I bought lots of USED ones from small sellers & they were clearly NOT counterfeit, and worked very well.

I wanted to just put this up here not as a review of the show because Mad Men is awesome and if you're looking at this you probably you know that. But please if you're new to the show listen to this warning.

you must watch this show would order to get the most out of every episode. Most television shows I feel you can skip some episodes and still derive a great quantity of joy from subsequent episodes but madmen stands apart. It is a show that I think in such a masterful way build on each previous episode. And if you miss an episode you're going to miss the reasons why certain characters act the way they do talk the way they do and do the things that they do.

for example I missed season two finale the carousel and went on to season three and I was like what the heck is going on I didn't realize it until I finished all of season three and was like something was off the whole season seemed a little bit tweaked as they were building on things that I had missed ( it is of note that the carousel was the one of the most amazing season finales that a person could miss but somehow I pulled that off I can be a bonehead sometimes)

For instance Roger Sterling has so much back story and is not even a real major player in the show but if you miss some episodes you missed the buildup to his character. Don Draper is a Shining example of someone that is touched upon and built upon in every episode.

so that is my warning watch every episode of madmen from start to finish in order.

PS watching madmen in high definition is a must that's why recommend only watching it that way. The Blu-Ray looks amazing and may even be better than what you're used to watching on your cable high def channel.

This series lives up to all the media and award hype! I finally tried it after repeated recommendations from my adult son. It took 3-4 episodes to develop all of the characters, then after that I was hooked! I also purchased season 3 separately and loved it as well. I can't wait for the Season 4 premiere!

This was a gift so I can only respond to the delivery time which was great. No issues, would buy from this seller again.

don't know who actually produced these dvd's. I thought I was buying original copies. these are very bad duplicates. seems to give a lot of formatting errors to the dvd reader.

would not buy again.

could not get disc 4 of season 2 to play at all... another wash out.

love the series though.

Found this series quite fascinating more so because the protagonist was a perfect example of a male chauvinistic pig!!!

The women are still of the helpless type but have no qualms about flaunting their sex and wanting it.

But the men are the worst. They want to lay every female but then a DOCTOR to whom a woman goes for contraceptives, along with her prescription she gets a lecture about the risks of becoming a "loose" woman!!

The storyline is good and well played out and in spite of the above makes compulsive viewing.
