DO NOT BUY!!!!!,

It took 45 minutes to install, and it sort of runs, but there is a 3" white band across the bottom, some of the menu text is not visible, and the graphics are horribly choppy. Alex's body disappears and portions of the screen black out. There is no difference at all on the lowest graphics settings. (once you stumble upon the hidden options menu selection) Activision had better patch this pooch PDQ or their reputation will suffer.
DO NOT BUY THIS POS!!!

I cannot believe that this game is for sale without a HUGE disclaimer on the cover about the Video card and PC processor requirements. I have been through two different video cards and have tried on three occasions to get this game to work. It does not want to work. What a piece of junk from Activision. I'm assuming they knew of the problems and marketed it anyway.

Sad to say, I agree completely with the other writers. Tried to load this on two different systems. I even reimaged one thinking that it was just too full of junk to run a new program. Unable to run on either one, and I couldn't find any support information on Activision's site. *sigh*

OK, so my 7-year-old does not have the latest, greatest PC -- but it has run every game we bought him, until this one! The alleged minimum requirements, I believe, are 1.7 Gig P4 (he has a Pentium 4, 3.06 Gig, almost double the requirement stated by Activison), 512 MB RAM (he's got 4 times that), and a GeForce 6600 card with 128 MB onboard (he's got an 8400 with 512 MB). Well, this game took over an hour to install, and it runs like a long-dead dog. He cried pathetically until we finally gave in and bought the XBox version. And I hated giving money to Activision to buy this game twice, when it's such a hog that it should have never been released in the first place. Don't waste time and money on the PC version, unless your PC is super-powered. And even if you can run it, note that the game requires over 8 Gigabytes of space, just to install it! The game itself is over 6 Gig -- about 10 TIMES the space required by the original Madagascar PC game, which by the way is practically identical anyway. The Help and Readme tips are useless, and Activision's support is even worse -- they think that their useless, canned "tips" are the the answer to everything, which is far from true. It's been a nightmare. What a horrible waste of money and bandwidth. Ugh!

I don't know what system this game was created for but apparently not an XP PC. It finally loaded after several tries, but half of the menu options are just gray blocks with no visible writing. You have to click around blindly. Finally, through pure luck I got it to run, but it doesn't use the mouse, so movement is choppy and dependent on keyboard keys like the most primitive games of old. The PC I'm using is up to date, has lots of memory, good video card, plenty of space, fast processor, so there is no excuse for the poor performance.
The sound is fine and the movie intro at the beginning leads you to believe something good is in store so it's a huge disappointment that the graphics in the game black out in blocks and the characters are only partly visible--sometimes not visible at all. Perhaps the periodic occurrence of a wide white band at the bottom of the screen is for informational purposes, and that might be useful if any writing were visible, but its not so of course no help. The main game itself is silly and senseless even if you ignore the terrible blocky blacking out graphics. Who are these people kidding? I also loaded the other CD with the paint and graphics features. Also ridiculous. There are no instructions so you just have to click around blindly. Eventually I figured out, the items displayed for cards, party invites, etc are only picture templates you print and then have to enter information through another program, which you'd print onto these templates by feeding them back through the printer. Good Luck! We've purchased a number of programs for the kids and this is definitely the worst.

First does not load. If it loads (finally did it on brand new HP Pavillion)it crashes, freezes. Called Activision for help, they've emailed me help for Kung Fu Panda. Activision should reimburse our money. You won't get lucky. Do NOT buy it.

That's what I should have done. My Grandson wanted this game for Christmas, I was in a hurry and didn't read the reviews on this one (I ususlly do). Same story as others, it wouldn't even load on 3 different computers, on the 4th one (mine, which the kids can't play on) it did finally load (took forever) only to tell me I don't have the correct video card. First time we've encounterd this problem with any of the dozens of games we have. I gave it one star because there wasn't a lesser one to give, on a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a minus 10. Beware of this one and read, read, read the reviews before buying.

Looks like everyone has the same problem with this game. It would not load at all on my pc. My pc has plenty of space to run this game. How can they get away with selling something that does not work? I want my money back! P.S. I only checked the stars rating because it was required. We have not played the game because it does not work! Don't waste your time or money on this one!
