Great game. My 5 year old grandson loves it. It's a little difficult at first to steer the cars (even I had problems), but once my grandson learned that he could flip the cars and make them do crazy things, he loved it.

I bought this because my 3 year old wanted to drive cars on our Wii and that M&M one was making us crazy (stay away from that one). This kart game is MUCH better. Steering is easy and responsive, the graphics are smooth, it helps get you unstuck easily and will even reset you if you are so turned around you can't get out or you are so off the track. It's more about enjoying the game rather than penalizing you for being bad at the game. Which is excellent for a 3 year old or a wife who is awful at video games. :) The Madagascar characters and their voices are icing on the cake for enjoying this game. Every race starts with "Move it, Move it!" and as you use the tactics to make your opponents slow down, you hear the characters making remarks that they are famous for. Even Shrek makes and appearance. Take the game for what it is...fun, and don't bother with silly comparisons to other kart games. I'm thrilled I bought it and my son is ecstatic!

Finally a driving game the whole family can play! We've tried many different driving games, since my 3 year old always wants to play too, and they've all been too difficult either because it's too complicated by having to press too many buttons, or the steering is waaay too dramatic and you always end up off the track. This one is perfect! My little man can play with no problem! So can I...all the other driving games are too frustrating even for me! =) You get to pick from the Madagascar characters to drive, and they say funny little things throughout the game, so cute!
So if you have little ones (or are like me and can't manage the other driving games!) this game is highly reccommended!

Right up there with Mario Kart at half the price. This game is a lot of fun! It is a bit challenging for our six year old, but he caught on and really loves it.

I really wanted to like this game. The concept is good and the characters are adorable. I bought this game to play with my preschooler. She loves it, but it triggers motion sickness in both myself and my ten yr. old. No other video game affects us this way. Might have been OK if we had the option to slow down considerably or navigate from an aerial view. Very disappointed. Wish I had been forewarned.

This is one of those games that age (and gender, apparently... lol) really do make a difference. My 5 yr old son LOVES this game and will play it all day long if I let him. He loves the wheel that came with it and loves the characters. My 10 yr old daughter hates this game. She thinks it's dumb and frustrating and hard to steer. I, personally, agree with her. It is hard to steer and is extremely hard to follow in the faster levels and routes. I get turned around and end up going the wrong way because I didn't see the turn coming until it was right on top of me. My husband and his brother both liked the game enough to play it with the 5yr old and even unlocked the more difficult levels of play. So I suppose it depends on the type of games you like to play and the amount of patience you have in learning to control the cars.
During the races you hear Madagascar voices and Shrek (a secret character). Shrek is ALWAYS trying to sabotage the races by messing you up which I found even more annoying. My son thinks it's funny. I guess I would recommend it for kids that love driving games and for the dads that will play with them.

My husband, kids ages 9 and 7 like this game. They don't play as much as some other games, but when the want to race and drive, this is a good game.

Fun fun fun game! My 5 year old daughter loves it. My only complaint is that my thumb got sore from having to hold the accelerator button down constantly while also trying to hit the turbo button occasionally. If the 1 & 2 buttons on the remote were at the same angle that your thumb naturally falls (rather then aligned side by side) I think it would be a lot easier. I guess this is more of a Wii remote design flaw & not so much having to do with this game itself.

A friend had referred this game to us as a cheaper alternative to another go cart game. We have had it for three weeks now and my kids still beg to play it every minute of the day. My 6 year old has become a pro already. He beats us, his parents, quite regularly. Very entertaining and fun. Even my 60 year old Father-in-law and 64 year old Uncle had a blast with it over Christmas. The tracks are challenging and great fun to try to master. I recommend this to everyone of every age!!!

It has shrek (from dreamwork's shrek), B.O.B (From Dreamworks monsters vs aliens)an madagascar charactors too. here they are the penguins, alex the lion, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hippo, Marty the zebra, The chimps, & king Julien. (Chimps,shrek,b.o.b,and,julien are unlockable characters. there are two courses that do not have to do with madagascar. shreks swamp and some course from monsters & aliens. RECOMENDED
