I played a lot of games for more than a decade. I think I tried everything, from strategy to 3D shooters, quests and arcades. I can't say I am a bad player as I usually finish each game a lot of times. Why I am saying all this? Because I don't want you to think that I can't play this game because I am a bad player.

The fact is - this game is perfect as perfect is the movie - perfect humour, good graphics, music, everything but gameplay.

Camera is always flying by itself, you don't control it, and usually you don't see what you want to see, sometimes you don't see anything! You don't go where you are supposed to go, you don't do what you are supposed to do - just because camera shifted to wrong direction, and voila, you busted! So the gameplay is stupid, as stupid is the programmer who created it. In fact, I don't remember worse gameplay than this, maybe because I am usually playing "adult" games like Doom or Warcraft and alike. That, from $5x category.

So if you want to laugh, get this game, it is the same fun as the movie itself, but be prepared to a lot of bad words caused by bad programming - so it is better to play when your kid is not home. And watching your kid playing this game you can find out all bad words he knows, I think this is interesting too.

I would rate this game 5, if programmers who make the camera stuff wouldn't be drunk while writing this perfection. A great game if it costs $5.

Also a little note about words in this game - depending from how you care about your kid, be prepared for phrases like "what the duck?" and "I hope my girl remembers me" (said by sailors) and alike. Maybe it's just too rude for your perfect little child :)

My son is seven and this game is so much fun for him and not painful for me to help him with. There is a fun game map where you can go in and out of whatever game levels you have opened up. There is also shop where you can buy more health and mini games and outfits for the characters.

Madagascar by Windows

This is a great game inspired by the movie of the same title. Lots of interactivity for the children and the kid that lies within us all. I purchased this title for my five year old, he just "dives" in to the characters that he controls and enjoys every bit of it.

I got this game a few months ago and I totally love it!! My friends and I play it all day and never get bored! It's a funny story and there are really cool mini games, too! You can do so much and it's really cool! It's sort of sad, when the game is over, because it was really funny! But my friends and I play it over and over every few weeks! I totally recomend this game to somebody who's ready to start an adventure!! THIS GAME IS A MUST HAVE!!!!

I have read all the reviews about this and so I thought this game was going to work out for a kid like me.So I bought this.The controls are a little junky but who cares about the controls when you can still play this.The bad things about the controls is that some of them are on the mouse and some are on the keyboard. For instance, the attack button and talk button are on the mouse,and the jump control is on the keyboard,the special button is the c key, and the move keys are w,s,d,and,a or the arrow keys.The only other bad thing is that you sometimes can not point your animal in the direction you want him/her in. I cannot imagine anyone not wanting this game.One very good thing about this game is that you can play minigames on this.This includes tiki minigolf,shuffleboard,and lemur rave. Tiki minigolf can be a little hard.You can play with the very crafty penguins,Marty the zebra,Alex the lion,Melman the giraffe,and Gloria the hippo.This is definitely a game I would recommend. P.S. you have to purchase minigames at the zoovanier shop.

The good things about this game it is challenging but not too
challenging. It has all the characters from the movie and it has
Arcade machines that are hidden in 3 levels. The bad things about this game is that it has bad graphics. You lose interest
the day you finish the game and don't want to play again. Overall the game is okay.

My friend had this game and i borrowed it from my friend and loved it (2nd level i love most because you get to play as the zebra) once you get on the island you get to do whatever you want go on the mud slide,fight crabs, and i don't remember anything else (i haven't played in a few years lost the game) get the game ITS WORTH THE MONEY!!

My daughter has played this game at a friend's house. She really enjoys it.

That you need the Geforce video card should be more prominent

My 9 year old daughter plays and plays this game. There are a lot of different levels, and it is good clean fun.
