When I was a litle girl I had an Effenbea Doll that is the same size as this one. This doll is over 20 years old, but Hannah loves it. So I bought her this one, because mine is about to fall apart. She LOVES this doll. It is the perfect size for a small child. She drags hers everwhere. It has a soft body, but molded plastic hands, feet, and head. The eyes open and close when it is tilted. It is well worth the money, because these dolls hold up forever. Nice gift for a younger child.

Our eldest daughter, now 27, received her Little Huggums for her 3rd Christmas. She named her Mary Baby,"'cause Mary is Jesus' Mommy". Our 2nd daughter, now 24, also received her Little Huggums for her 3rd Christmas. Our first granddaughter is now three and Little Huggums was the first Christmas gift I purchased this year. This is a very durable doll and a perfect size for a little girl to "mother" and cuddle. A wonderful gift. I hope to purchase more if we have additional granddaughters!

Baby Huggums was my first doll and is now my daughter's first doll. She has been a favorite and has lasted being carried everywhere! She is the perfect size for a small child to pretend with, and her body is nice and soft.

Bought for my baby granddaughter,,, just like the ones I bought my girls over 30 years ago..All soft, nothing to poke an eye or come apart. Still have the ones they played with for years.

Over 30 years ago I got two Little Huggums dolls. Now my daughter, and sometimes my son, play with them A LOT. They are extremely durable dolls that last, literally, a lifetime or maybe two lifetimes.

What works about this doll? I love their smallish size. They are 12 inches tall which is a more manageable size than the 18 inch American Doll baby dolls. Little Huggums have soft bodies, so they really are huggable. They are easy to dress and undress because they have soft bodies. I bought extra clothes for my/my daughter's two Huggums from the Magic Cabin catalog. Sometimes I find 12 inch doll clothes at Target. The extra clothes enhance the fun of playing with these dolls. Huggums are soft but they can sit up on their own and participate in tea parties. Finally, these are really cute looking dolls.

They are an indoor toy because I would not recommend washing them in the washing machine. The squeeker in their bottoms will not work as well after washing. I spot clean them.

I highly recommend Little Huggums over any other doll, and I've played with many!!!

When I was four years old, I went to the hospital to meet my new baby brother. To my delight, a nurse wheeled in a second hospital bassinet with a baby just for me. My mother had even gotten the nurse to put a hospital name tag on her wrist. I have still that Huggums tucked safely away in my hope chest. She weathered years of fierce love beautifully and is in excellent condition. When I saw this Huggums on sale, I decided to get one to save for my daughter, so she has her own.

I've also given Huggums several times as birthday and Christmas presents. Each one was received with glee and became a best loved doll. The soft, durable Huggums is a classic, for good reason.

I purchased this doll for the first time 38 years ago for my first daughter, then two years later for my second daughter. Eight years ago I purchased it for my first granddaughter and this year for my second granddaughter. It is light and huggable. Simply just an old-fashioned bsby doll that a little one can carry around. My daughters still have theirs and they keep them in their girls' rooms to have when company comes over to play with them.

I love this little doll. My sister and I both had one growing up so my daughter had to have one too. I still have mine and it has held up for 35 years. It has a soft body with a slightly harder head. It is perfect for infants on up. These are the cutest and most well made dolls you can buy.

I had a memory of Mme Alexander baby dolls being super nice when my daughter received one. So purchased for a new granddaughter. I didn't even much like the way it looked, the head is more adult than baby size, and then- the sleepy eyes didn't work- sometimes one was open, one closed- sometimes they both rolled back to the whites- horrible! I returned it.

i have given all my grandaughter this doll and it is always a winner. A doll they take everywhere
