Madame Alexander - Alice in Wonderland Cloth Doll

I actually purchased this doll and returned it. The head seems so out of place with this doll. It is almost over-sized, but you can't see this in the picture until you see the doll in person. I expected more from Madame Alexander. The doll would have been more appealing had it been half the size with a softer & in proportion head. As I type, there is a picture of this doll and it does look so cute. It's not.

I bought this for my granddaughter because she loves Alice in Wonderland. She loves the doll, carries it around, hugs it and drops it anywhere she is. (bought it for her second birthday a year ago) This has been a really great doll. She dressed up as Alice for Halloween and was very proud to have the doll. After a year, she still loves the Alice doll. It has been durable, doesn't break and is very handy to carry around. We all love the doll.

The doll is adorable -- reflecting Madame Alexander doll workmanship. Her body is well made and her clothing is detailed and of good quality. However, there is one issue that may be of concern and that is that the head is a little heavy and hopefully in time it does not creat a problem in flopping over. I am looking forward to purchasing more of Madame Alexander storybook cloth dolls.

I just received the doll in the mail. My daughter played Alice in Alice in Wonderland and I thought it would be special for her to have the doll for her to remember the role. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the doll, it is beautiful! Even nicer, Amazon had to for 1/2 the price than other on line children boutiques.

I got this for my daugther along with a pop up story book of Alice in Wonderland. She loves it! The doll is truly beautiful, not really for playing, but it looks gorgeous sitting on a shelf in her bedroom. We take it down for story time, and I am sure this will be one doll that we'll keep for many many years.
