This would-be King of the Forest has a gold flannel lion suit with white buttons down the front. In back is his long tail, with a tuft of fur on the end. He also wears a pretend fur hood that fits snugly around his face, which is painted with tiny brown whiskers. Under the lion suit is a regular 8-inch Madame Alexander doll with short golden-brown hair, wearing a modest one-piece underwear suit. The Cowardly Lion is part of Madame Alexander's extensive Wizard of Oz collection, featuring characters from the much-loved book series and movie. --Marcie Bovetz

8" Madame Alexander retired doll "Cowardly Lion" has a face (which was changed for 2004) framed with a plush mane fit for the king of the forest! He wears a soft, one-piece caramel colored romper with a bow tied on his furry mane and fur tipped tail.
