The materials are beautiful! The hair is made the way I expected! The only issue I have with the doll is that the head has a hard plastic form!!! How cuddly is that??? The doll is closest to the one like I have from 1974 EXCEPT that one has a nicely stuffed soft head under her hair!!!! This is, however, the closest to what I wanted for the price!!!

The head on this doll is hard... I mean hard and if you have more than one small child you might want to reconsider. I am not sure about durablity it hasn't been given as a gift yet.

I would consider this doll very well made: it's not junk. The high quality is evident upon even a cursory examination of its seams and gluings.

However, it has a hard head, which feels all wrong. Note that it also comes with a (detachable) cardboard backing so that she can be sat up properly.
