The HEAD!!!
The materials are beautiful! The hair is made the way I expected! The only issue I have with the doll is that the head has a hard plastic form!!! How cuddly is that??? The doll is closest to the one like I have from 1974 EXCEPT that one has a nicely stuffed soft head under her hair!!!! This is, however, the closest to what I wanted for the price!!!

Watch OUt
The head on this doll is hard... I mean hard and if you have more than one small child you might want to reconsider. I am not sure about durablity it hasn't been given as a gift yet.

I would consider this doll very well made: it's not junk. The high quality is evident upon even a cursory examination of its seams and gluings.However, it has a hard head, which feels all wrong. Note that it also comes with a (detachable) cardboard backing so that she can be sat up properly.

The doll was in excellent shape and made a great gift for my granddaughter. It was delivered on time and the quality was excellent.

Truly a beautiful doll. Nice representation of the kind. However, the head is solid and painful when the you hug the doll (which it looks like you can do.). Furthermore, she is constantly loosing her beautiful red hair (just falls out.)
It's a good show piece yet not a toy for a young child.

My kiddo saw a similar doll on the "Santa Clause" movie and it was what she wanted. I came on Amazon and this was exactly what she wanted. The quality is good - and it is as described. My daughter picked it up, gave the doll and hug and said "this is exactly what I wanted!"

I was so proud of my daughter for asking Santa for something other than electronics for Christmas! She has been wanting a raggedy Ann doll for a while now. She was not disappointed on Christmas morning! Her Grandmother has a Raggedy Ann from 40 years ago and this one is very similar to it. Even has the "I love you" in the heart on her chest. Very nicely made doll. She said she will ask Santa for Raggedy Andy next year!
