First of all she arrived and my daughter loves her! The outfit is cute and springy and of course well made! My only complaint is her hair! It looks beautiful in the picture..... but it is all frayed on the tips and looks less expensive in my opinion.... not to mention compared to her other madame alexander doll the hair roots are farther apart showing some plastic head in areas which we stopped by putting her hair half up! I did end up cutting off all the tips of this dolls hair, it looks better but not great! All in all my daughter loves her and that is what counts! This doll sleeps with my daughter as well as her American Girl doll and her other Madame Alexander

This doll is beautiful, and while it doesn't quite live up to the standard's of the famous American Girl dolls, neither does it's price tag! The doll is beautiful and will be a wonderful surprise for my daughter, and I won't cringe if she writes on her or accidentally cuts her hair! I'd buy her over a WalMart or Target 18" doll, as she is MUCH better quality and just gorgeous! A must have for moms on a budget, but who want the quality!

I read the reviews about the bad hair and thought "maybe those people are doll fanatics" or "it can't really be that bad" I was wrong. It is. The hair is so sparse it would be hilarious hadn't I just spent over 30 dollars on it. The hair isn't even remotely like a normal doll's hair. I am incredibly disappointed and the worst part? My 5 year old is already in love with it and I can't return it.

I ordered this doll for my granddaughter's fourth birthday. As she is not careful enough with her toys to merit spending $100 on a doll, I found this to be a suitable and reasonable replacement for an American Girl doll. I had also bought a Madame Alexander poseable doll from Walmart (for $28) which was very pretty, but her skin color made her look like a corpse. When I compared the two dolls, I decided the less expensive one needed to go back to Walmart. I was also able to purchase a beautiful ballerina outfit through Amazon, which made my granddaughter one happy little girl!

My daughter got this for Christmas and she loved it. The hair was so beautiful and the clothes were well made. She was just as happy with it as her American Girl and it was so much less expensive without giving up quality.

Purchased this gift for a present and was very disappointed. If we hadn't already given the doll as a gift, I would have returned it. The doll's face is not the same shown on the web site. My son & daughter noticed immmediately. The eyes do not match up and the right eye is lower than the left. The left eye lashes are not even either. Her bangs are different than shown. All together her face is just not as cute as shown on the web site. It's almost as if we received a cheaper version.
Truthfully, the dolls made in China just don't compare to the German made dolls. I would rather spend more and get better quality than cheap China stuff. With that said, the receiver of our gift doesn't know any better and likes the doll. She never saw the original picture on the web site so doesn't know any better. My daughter who has several German made dolls and Pleasant Company dolls (pre Matel) noticed the cheapness of this doll right away. She is 9 years old and it was very apparent to her. Just so you know what you're getting. We were very disappointed.

This doll is a cheaper alternative to The American Girl Doll that both my girls wanted. I think on every count it is just as attractive and well made as the other dolls in this category and maybe prettier even than some. My only complaint is that the hair is not as nice as what is pictured. I bought this doll and another Madame Alexander Doll and this dolls hair is far inferior to the others. Now that she is out of the box I see how thin and tangled it is. NOT FOR STYLING as suggested in the description. She is going back!

My granddaughter and I went on line and she picked the doll she wanted for her birthday. Much to my dismay when the doll arrived it didn't look like the one we had picked out. The hair is totally different. The picture shows a doll with bangs swept to the side and kind of long, just like her! The doll we received has bangs kind of sausage rolled. After contacting several sellers we are told the picture is a stock photo and none of the dolls look like the picture. If the doll has been changed, change the picture, so people know what they are getting!

I decided long ago that I was not going to buy my daughter an AMerican Girl doll that costs over $100. I'm glad I didn't. THis doll was just as beautiful. My nieces have them and I didn't notice any difference. Maybe the hair was a little nicer, but for an $80 difference - who cares! All 18 inch accessories and clothes fit this doll.

I purchase doll for my Granddaughter and she loves it and so do I was perfect choice for her. Very Satisfied with purchase...love it....
