4.0 out of 5 stars Watch out, James Bond
Great spy/adventure flick. Bette Davis makes an great villainess. If I didn't know it was Bette Davis ahead of time, I never would have guessed it was her. Great inventions/gadgets on par with anything created for Bond. And the best part? The 'good guys' lose.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's Different!
This was a rather strange movie. But, with both Bette Davis and Robert Wagner in it, it held my attention. Bette Davis plays an interesting part. Like always, she puts everything into it. I'd watch anything with Bette Davis, however, I would recommend this one to anyone. It is a spy/suspense movie. I believe it was made as a pilot to a TV series but ended up being shown...

Bette Davis is superb at becoming whatever it is she needs to be at the time. In this movie, she is rather bizarre but as always captivating.

4.0 out of 5 stars unusual Bette Davis movie, July 23, 2011

This review is from: Madame Sin [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is a very unusual roll for Bette Davis. She play's a very evil woman who wants to run the world. And she doesn't care who she has killed to do it. She kidnappes important people then brain washes them to do what she wants them to do to help her get what she wants. She kidnapp's Robert Wagner to help her steal a submarine that she wants. She get's him to help kidnap a Navy offical who is in charge of moving the sub & gets him to stear the sub to where she wants it.

It is a good movie. I was surprised that it was any good at all. I only bought it because Bette was in it but I was very glad I did. Was interesting to watch.

3.0 out of 5 stars Davis who are you suppose to be?, March 9, 2011

This review is from: Madame Sin [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The only reason I had bought this film was because Davis was in it. She played her part very well. However, that could not save this film. It is a watered down spy movie, which had potential to be a good film. You can tell that most of the cast members were really trying to pull the movie's butt out of the fire. I can't recal one actor that was not trying to play their part well. It was just too simple of a story. It had more of a made for TV movie feel to it. However, for those Davis fans out there, this film is worth adding to your collection...that is, if you have to own another Davis picture. Also, what the hell was Davis suppose to be? What nationality? Some times she came across as Asian, others European? What are you Miss Davis? The ending has a surprise twist, though by the end you really won't care....or over think on it. ***MOVIE ENDING SPOILER ALERT**** one thing that I did like was how the bad gal got away at the end. For me, the ending had a mild feel of Carmen Sandiego.

The movie sucked..bette rocked..point blank...! She was awesome as usual adding some star power to an otherwise James Bond wanna-be movie.
