I would like to start off by saying the Wii went back to the fun Madden when Arcade was king.Arcade version of Madden 12 is what Wii needed take the hi tech madden on my 360 and ps3 Hi def and set it to the side for the point and pass arcade call fun from Wii.I own both the ps3 and 360 and find the Wii more entertaining for hours of true fun passing and kicking challenge with friends.Way to go EA you did a great job.

I just rented the Wii version this evening (launch day- August 30). Let me start by saying that I'm one of the half million people who still stuck with the old PS2 version of Madden 11 last year, and enjoyed the heck out of it. I'm an offline-only player, who spends probably 95 percent of my time doing franchise mode, and the other five percent playing same-couch two-player contests, so I prefer the PS2 version (and even the PSP for away-from-home action) to the current-gen HD versions (their franchise modes have been horrible thus far). I'll also admit that I was really interested when I read that the Wii version of Madden 12 will FINALLY let you play with the Classic Controller. Well, I spent about an hour and a half getting a feel for the Franchise Mode, as well as playing one game. My conclusion: it sucks. While there were some noticeable improvements/changes made over the Wii versions from the past few years (my stepson plays Madden on the Wii, so I've experienced them all), it still feels like a dumbed-down, poor-man's version of the PS2 game. The graphics are HORRIBLE compared to the PS2. Yes, you read that right: the Wii version's graphics look horrible compared to the version for the 11-year-old last-gen PS2. I mean, Madden for the Gamecube looked better than this 10 years ago. The players and refs look like they were copied and pasted from Madden on the N64. The franchise mode menus are unintuitive and unnecessarily clumsy when using the classic controller, and the "new" create-a-player mode is so tacked-on and cheap that you have to see it to believe it: you can't actually create a player from scratch ala the PS2 version--you have to replace one of the existing free agents. There's also much less flexibility with roster moves and player attribute tuning when beginning your franchise compared to the PS2 version, which is one of the reasons I gave up on the PS3 Maddens that I tried to like but couldn't (09 and 10). This is unacceptable to me.With the new Classic Controller option, the gameplay seemed pretty decent at first. Then I tried to make a few pre-snap adjustments, and the game went right down the toilet. As far as I can tell, there is no way to make pre-snap defensive line or linebacker shifts, or to shade safeties. I also couldn't find an option to make offensive line audibles like on the PS2/PSP/PS3. These omissions completely break the gameplay for me. This may not matter to the newbies or 6-year-olds that this game is obviously intended for, but it does to a seasoned veteran like me. These are basic gameplay options that have been around for years and years on older consoles. One quick question for the developers: would it be that difficult for you to include more options for seasoned Madden vets, while still having an "Easy Play" or "Family Play" option like you guys have for the PS2 and PSP versions? The Wii has an install base approaching 100 million--do you really think that everyone who wants to play Madden on Wii is in the 10 and under age demographic? I do like the SimCity elements in the Wii's franchise mode, but other than that, this version of Madden is VERY lacking in several areas of great importance to players like me. My stepson seems to like this version, as he has been glued to Madden 10 for the Wii for two years now, and this is a slight upgrade from that, so he'll most likely be getting this from Santa Claus in a few months. However, before I rented it, I was seriously considering going with the Wii version myself this year for my personal Madden needs, and finally selling my PS2 (which I only keep around for Madden). I mean, we have TWO Wii consoles in the house--one downstairs in the living room that my stepson uses, and one upstairs in our bedroom that my wife and I use. After taking the Wii version of Madden 12 for a test drive, that will not happen. Thank God I rented it first. I'll be picking up the PS2 version...again. The only good thing for me that will come from having the Wii version of Madden 12 in the house is that I can finally sit down and play two-player contests with my stepson in the living room without wanting to throw a Wiimote through the TV screen. Unfortunately, the Classic Controller support is about the only worthwhile upgrade to Madden 12 for Wii. They should have stuck with the PS2 ports for the Wii version that we saw in the pre-Madden 10 era, and they should have had Classic Controller support from day one back in 2006. It's pretty sad that I own two Wii consoles, but have to keep a PS2 around to be able to play a competent version of Madden. As a Wii gamer, it really irritates me to have to say this, but unless you are in grade school, or are an absolute novice Madden player, stay away from this one. There are much deeper and more satisfying versions of Madden on the market for other consoles. 2.5 stars out of 5, and that's being generous.

I keep trying Madden on the Wii, but end up back on the PS2. I am really glad to see that EA finally took advantage of all the buttons on the classic controller and now supports using it in the game. It finally feels like Madden with the classic controller. We are still getting used to the audible system and a few things seem to be missing, but overall a good experience on the wii. I do wish Nintendo had put an HD video card in the wii, but's a different story. It is annoying that the replays cannot go back more than about 10 seconds. I would assume the limited ram is causing that.

I have both Madden 12 and 11 and I will say that madden 12 is better. Improved graphics, features, and players has made this a very exciting game. I prefer the wii version over xbox and ps3 because it is more realistic in passing and running, even though the graphics are not as good. Overall I would say Madden has done a great job of improving the game. Cannot wait until Madden 13.

Much better than Madden 11. The kids love to play it. My 6 year old can even compete with my 9 year old.

Madden 12 is exactly the same thing as madden 11 for wii. It has cartoony graphics that some people may like but i certainly don't. I am disappointed that xbox and playstation have an amazing graphic madden game but for the second year in a row, the wii game is terrible.

Well the graphics arent nearly as good as the ps3 360 version but this game is still very fun to play. You kinda get over how it looks when you start playing so it is a good game. the stadiums and players are a bit cartoony but the rosters do update automatically which i thought was cool overall good but not great game
