EA sports does it again with this realistic football game. The graphics are great and has smooth game play. Francise mode allows you to play several continuous seasons with the same team. I'd reccommend this game to any sports fan.

The franchise mode is so great. The realism is fantastic....from salary cap implications, to drafting, to executing plays....it's great! The game play is very good and yet very real. Buy this game, you cannot go wrong!

The playability in this game I think has improved greatly and the graphics are first class. To the wannabe Pro Footballer this is a must have to the max. The only thing that is slightly irritating is hearing Madden's voice the whole time.

I sometimes wonder about people who buy new football games every year. What changes? Other than a few new rookies. I don't play enough video games to buy a new one every time there is a slight improvement, and I found Madden 99 to be just fine. Game play is good, the graphics are as good as any other football game, and you can save a season or a franchise (you get to 'coach' your team for 14 years). The passing game is good, but the running game is phenomenal. And defense is pretty good. And it isn't as difficult as some of the newer games (you can make it tougher on yourself by playing on a harder setting, without ever getting impossible for the simply average player like myself). This is one of the football games I highly recommend (and I love football video games).

I would not really recomend this game for you if you arent a football fan. The graphics are good, but the game is confusing if you dont like or understand football. If you like football and you want this game, it would be pretty good. But if you dont understand football, even if you like it, i would not recomend this game

I love this game. It is possible to build a franchise from the ground up and watch it prosper or fail. The many game modes promise hours of fun glued to the TV screen.

Not olny are the graphics great but they made a great improvement with the gameplay an the realisic movements of the players. The voice of John Madden is always heard throughtout the game and the crowd nosies and the sound effects have gone under major improvment. Its a great football game to own for your very own entertainment.

Madden NFL99 is the best to date. The graphics are the best they have ever been. I do have a few suggestions for 2000 though.

1. Put the press and the rest of the team down on the field along the sidelines so it doesn't look like it is a scrimage all the time. 2. Make the crowd more realistic. they should move more and get quiet or loud when there team is doing good or bad. 3. The weather is a great feature,but it would be cool if the weather would change during a game. If it is raining the players have got to get more muddie. 4. How about some cameras flashing during the games and especially during the Superbowl. 5. Have the opening introductions of the teams for the Superbowl too.

john madden next football game should be a little like madden 98. what I mean by that is this year game is so gay . I think madden 2000 should be more real.

Madden 99 is far and away the best football game that I have ever played. Almost as good as the real thing, especially if you have a dual shock controller. In this video game the player can have up to three different roles. They can control the players, be the coach, and even be the general manager. During career mode you become all three and choose the outcome for your team by drafting rookies, signing free agents, and developing your current players. I really enjoy the gameplay, but I'm almost nearly excited about finishing the season to see who I can acquire through free agency and the draft. But remember they must fit under the salary cap. Madden 99 is an excellent game that has a long term value as well.
