Madden 07, Hall of Fame edition is a just the same Madden 07 with another Bonus DVD with Features. I will discuss that later.

For the game itself, some features include run to daylight which gives the player the ability to set up blocks using the FB/OL, etc. This is useful in game but the CPU RB sometimes makes poor decisions including running away from my block. However it can be remedied by switching really quickly from the blocker to the rb.

Overall, the gameplay itself is improved especially for the deep ball. Before any pump fake lob is easy catch but now it is remedied a bit. Even though, the lob is still prevalent the SS or FS goes over to cover. Running is more fun due to the RTD but running on the higher levels is still difficult.

Mini-games and Practice move back in for the 360 and are much important specifically for tournament players for the Madden Challenge. For any beginning player who wants to improve their skills, mini-games help.

Franchise gets a kick with Mel Kiper Juniors picks for the upcoming draft and the ability to mini-camp your players with the mini-games but to be honest its tough to add anything brand new to a mode like this.

Superstar Mode is in the 360 and for the people who ever wanted to figure out if they could have made it, the mode is challenging and fun. However, ratings seem to be a tad high and you are always the starter this can be remedied by editing the depth chart. The most important part is the camera angles a la ESPN NFL 2K4 First Player mode, you play as your superstar on the field in a first player angle only as that player. If you enjoy playing this mode in Madden 06, this version is much more interesting.

The Major issue with both of these modes is the HOF players unlocked during the game via MAdden Gamer Profile, these players occassionally pop up in franchise and superstar mode. This can be remedied by saving the first default roster and then entering the mode.

Now to get to the bonus DVD, it includes the first eight episodes of Madden Nation from ESPN which shows the best tourney players going head to head for 100,000.
A retrospective on John Madden coaching career which is very entertaining for anyone who has no clue about the coach John Madden.
A look at the music of Madden from MTV2, for the music fan at heart and madden fan.
Finally it includes a behind the scenes look at Madden 07 with ESPN's Trey Wingo which gives players some insight and tips on how to play the game.

Overall the money is a bit steep for the Hall of Fame edition but is well worth the value basing the knowledge that the regular game is only ten dollars less.

If you are a Madden Challenge player, I would suggest buying the game for teh XBOX since that is the current format.

Overall this is the best football game for the 360 and defintely worth the 70.00 including the bonus features.

First let me say I have always played the 2k football games, now sadly they are not available thanks to EA buying the rights to everything!!! So what choice do you have other then madden? The graphics are good but the play calling is pretty bad, hard format and all of the buttons are completely opposite of every football games i've ever played. All in all its not a bad game, but if I had my choice I wouldnt own it.
Also My son and I always play on the same team when we play 2k games, sadly madden will not allow you to do that unless there are more than 2 players, he is very dissapointed, so we just play 2k5 on the ps2

Boring commentary by radio broadcaster. No Madden or Michaels anymore. Convoluded and confusing menu navigation. Horrible soundtrack. Gameplay is fun however, and the highlight stick makes it seem more "hands on." The button configurations have become extremely advanced and have a hell of a learning curve to get used to. The buttons deviate from previous Maddens, making you have to break old habbits of button-pushing and learn these new configurations. Wonderful hall of fame archives with highlight reels from many Hall of Famers. The main concern is that Madden is no longer calling the game. I can't get over this fact and it is a sign of bad things to come, since now it looks like it is Madden in name only. He actually made the game interesting and comical, and it really sucks not having Madden's commentary. I really hope they bring Madden and Michaels back in '08, or I probably won't buy it again.

this is a good game for football lovers. I'm sure it plays pretty much like the latest madden without the updated roster. save some money and buy older versions of madden

I have long felt that EA Sports is indifferent to making good games. Having played this one, I wonder if they aren't actively trying to make bad games.

The AI is simply terrible. The menu navigation is complicated and incredibly sluggish. even by EA standards the game is riddled with bugs. The new features are a mix of bad ideas and poorly executed good ideas. The old features have all the problems they did the year before.

A football game has no business being bad. Even if the execution is sloppy, the result should still be fun (3 stars). That this game is significantly worse than that is remarkable (it is better than Head Coach, but EA owes everyone who ever played THAT game a refund and an apology; here EA just owes it to themselves the think long and hard about wherther making video games is something they really should be doing with their time).

Really, there isn't much point in reviewing an EA Sports game. You know its going to suck; the only question is how much. I may be dumb for dropping $[...] on one (they are usually fun enough to justify that), but I'm not the kind of moron who spends $[...] on crap EA puts in a box and then writes revoews with lots of exclamation points. If you have an IQ above room temperature, you already know any game by EA is going to suck. If you don't you don't care what anyone writes and are going to get the game and wear out the 1 on your keyboard reviewing it...

i order hall of fame madden 07 edition and receive regular madden 07 but i'm still satified.

Madden is the G.O.A.T, I have every Madden since they have been in existence and every time it gets better. I am still enjoying the 07 Madden on my Xbox 360 but so far it's the most fun I have had playing football on a consol.

I received the game fast, My only complaint is that the case was broken, I did not bother returning as I did not want to return it as I wanted it for xmas, so I wish I had a good case then all would be good
