Poor Maddie. Not only is the mean girl at school bullying her, but she still hasn't discovered her own world as her two sisters, Bella and Lexie, already have.

Little does Maddie know, things are about to change when Bella and Lexie find a big box to play in. Maddie decides to join them (with dog TayTay, of course) and before they know it, they are in Maddie World. They also happen to be in the middle of a war between the Bubble Fairies and the Lava Fairies. Luckily, Maddie has a sword with plenty of power just for her, as she set out on her quest to find a missing necklace and bring these two feuding sides together.

I loved travelling to Maddie World!! This is a sweet book with a very powerful message about bullies and respect. My favorite line in the book is when Maddie remembers the advice her parents gave her and states, "I can stand up for myself, and for what's right, without becoming a bully." An important lesson that all children and adults should follow.

Wonderful characters plus beautiful illustrations equals one perfect story for younger readers.

Maddie World is the third book in this series, but you dont need to have read the first two books to understand what's going on.

These books are a great way to help children deal with issues they might be facing in their every day life. Maddie World deals specifically with bullying, and shows children that there are ways to deal with bullies without becoming a bully yourself. And it does it all with some young children, their dog and some fairy's. The book also has some brilliant illustrations.

I have been reading this series backwards but have really been enjoying the two books I have read already and look forward to sharing them with my children who are 5 and 6.

Maddie World is a great little novel for kids that teaches about bullies in the real world and also in the fairy/magical world. Maddie teaches the fairies about being nice and not being a bully even though they had been bullied by other fairies. In the real world Maddie is then able to stand up to the bully at her school and become friends. I love the discussion questions at the end of the book to get the discussions going with your kids.

The pictures in this book were very well done with great color. A great book.
