awesome album. if you are a fan of the "stockholm" death metal sound (early entombed, dismember, grave, unleashed, desultory, etc.), fleshcrawl is the band for you.
i enjoy most all of metal's sub genres (especially the gothenburg sound that would soon follow), but in my opinion the first wave of swedish death metal bands is one of the best (and criminally over-looked) movements in metal's history thus far. even though fleshcrawl isn't from sweden, they're one of the best examples of the style. wish there was more bands like fleshcrawl today...thick, brutal, some groove, and a slight touch of melody. and how about that guitar tone? absolutely classic.

Great atmosphere here, with a not impressive drums, but fit the genre perfectly, impressive guitar riffs and average vocals. For fans of Morbid Angel, Sceptic and the likes.

Fleshcrawl sounds like Dismember or Entombed being fronted by Cannibal Corpse lead singer George Fisher. I highly recommend this disc to fans of death metal. you automatically know that when the lead vocalist says "Made Of Flesh" at the beginning of the title cut, these guys are going to kick your arse to kingdom come. one DM band is compared to Mike Tyson. I compare these guys to the Undertaker.
