I didn't have high expectations but thought I'd get this new release from Nena anyway to check it out. Have played it a few times through and I have to say I'm liking it a lot. Good mix of Nena's old sound but with some modern twist. And note that it's 100% auf Deutsch (no weak english language versions here!!!).

This is a great album. Forget 99 Luft balloons, or 99 red balloons as it was titled for us Americans when they dumbed it down and changed all of the lyrics. (The German language original has completley different lyrics which make more sense.)

This is one of Nena's best albums and it's her most recent, from 2009. She is 50 years old now and she is making some of the best music she ever has. The crap they make in this country which they call music is pure garbage. Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, Britney Spears and the like are just bubble-gum pop production line crap with no substance. If you like Nena, you should check out Silbermond, another German band with a lot of talent.
