I didn't have high expectations but thought I'd get this new release from Nena anyway to check it out. Have played it a few times through and I have to say I'm liking it a lot. Good mix of Nena's old sound but with some modern twist. And note that it's 100% auf Deutsch (no weak english language versions here!!!).

This is a great album. Forget 99 Luft balloons, or 99 red balloons as it was titled for us Americans when they dumbed it down and changed all of the lyrics. (The German language original has completley different lyrics which make more sense.)

This is one of Nena's best albums and it's her most recent, from 2009. She is 50 years old now and she is making some of the best music she ever has. The crap they make in this country which they call music is pure garbage. Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, Britney Spears and the like are just bubble-gum pop production line crap with no substance. If you like Nena, you should check out Silbermond, another German band with a lot of talent.

Nena is fantastic!! I foolishly thought she was just an 80's one-hit-wunderkind with "99 Luftballons." War ich ein dummkopf! I can't believe she isn't better known. Million times better than American commercial pap like Katy Perry, Pink, Rihanna, etc., and MUCH hotter!

I was a teenager when 99 Luftballons was popular... I never kept up with her continued European career. When I found this new album by Nena, I watched the official Nena YouTube channel and fell in love with her music all over again. After buying this digital download, I can say with certainty, "The entire album is incredible"... It's not 3 or 4 good songs, all 13 are great!

"Made In Germany" is a treasure to add to your collection if you love beautiful ballads and lively techno sounds. This digital download offers it all.

This is a very good CD. Little different from other Nena music - more pop, dance, electronica - overall more modern. I like it a lot. I still like the RED/ ORANGE CD the most- her musical heights for me- but I like this too anyway. I think its more playful and modern - not as serious as the RED cd - but very well done. I like all songs. My favorite song is: Meinem Leben. I also like its fast version.
Enjoy listening to this CD - its a must have for all Nena fans.

The album is absolutely amazing. I love each track except Ganz viel zeit, which I had to delete from my ipod. Totally irritating. However, every other song is excellent. My favorite is SchönSchönSchön and Ich Bin Hyperaktiv.

Overall this is way, way, overproduced. Enough filters and effects on the vocals to embarrass Britney Spears. The title tune is all there is here.

1.SchönSchönSchön - Good tune, second best on the CD.
2.Du bist so gut für mich - Great bridge, otherwise forgettable.
3.Ich bin hyperaktiv - Forgettable
4.Dreh Dich - Memorable for the abomination called Auto-Tune. Just awful. Click "next".
5.Geheimnis - I want to like this, it has a good chorus, a nice bridge, but the opening 30 seconds of do-do-do-do-do-do keyboard make me want to throw up, and the vocals must have six filters on it. Next.
6.Du hast Dich entschieden - Forgettable, Next.
7.Wir sind wahr - Memorable only for the "Moonies" video. The tune is unlistenable. Next.
8.Made in Germany - Easily the best on the CD. Indeed, among the best work she has ever done. The vocals could have been cleaner, but buy the MP3.
9.In meinem Leben - Good. Cleanly recorded, but doesn't really go anywhere though.
10.Es gibt keine Sicherheit - Okay, but for the vocals.
11.Schmerzen - Next.
12.Ganz viel Zeit - Starts great, then...male vocals. Next!
13.Nachts wenn es warm ist - Sorry.

Buy "Willst du mit mir gehn" instead. The second disc is really good.
