Everything that Aryeh Kaplan has written is filled with love for the Jewish tradition. It is all filled with great understanding and feeling , and provides the reader a means to connect more personally with Jewish practice.

THE WEDDING BOOK FOR JEWISH COUPLES,
By Rabbi Yonah "Rabbi Yonah" (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Made in Heaven: A Jewish Wedding Guide (Hardcover)
I have worked with many couples over the years and no book explains the entire wedding and all its significance like Rabbi Kaplan. Other books are so focused on alternative weddings, they don't teach the real thing.
Rabbi Kaplan is authentic, authoritative, and deeply mystical.

"Made in Heaven' is an excellent resource for those planning or performing a wedding and are interested in easily understanding Jewish traditions and Halacha. I performed the wedding ceremony for a niece (my first wedding) and this book gave me comfort that the wedding would be acceptable according to Halachikh and eased my mind as the Mesader Kiddushin. Whether you are leading the ceremony or simply want to know more about Jewish weddings, I strongly recommend this book.

Perfect guide to an orthodox wedding,
By Sam "Sam" (Houston, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Made in Heaven: A Jewish Wedding Guide (Hardcover)
This is the book to read if you have a family member or friend who's orthodox and you want to understand nearly EVERYTHING about Jewish practice involving weddings. Or, if you have become orthodox or are marrying somebody who is at that level. And of course, if you just want to understand how the orthodox and very orthodox practice when it comes to wedding ceremonies.
Aryeh Kaplan is a genius and I'd recommend nearly anything he writes. Unfortunately, he passed away at an early age. A previous reviewer said something about messianic "Jews." I can't imagine what that would have to do with this book, and don't agree that it would offer anything to such a person.

This review is from: Made in Heaven: A Jewish Wedding Guide (Hardcover)
My rabbi recommended this book to my husband and I as we were planning our wedding. It was an absolute treasure trove of tradition. It explained the history and meaning of all the aspects of a traditional Jewish wedding. I think it's a must for any Jewish person planning a wedding whether you're including all the components of a traditional wedding or just a few key ones... the meaning you get from this book will enhance the day.

There is no other book that explains the significance of a Jewish wedding as well as this one,

I originally purchased this book when I was newly engaged, and found it to be such a wonderful guide in helping me to truly understand the significance of a Jewish wedding, and all the details therein.
Since that time, I've bought many copies of this book as gifts for newly engaged couples. Just today I reread it for the umpteenth time to see if if would be appropropriate for a non-Orthodox couple who wanted a book about marriage. After having checked out many others, I will again present this one. Every other book I examined couldn't come anywhere near the warmth that this one projects. It will make it very clear to any Jewish couple, religious or not, how their wedding day is a not just a party to share this milestone in their life, but rather a very holy act that can elevate their entire life together.

Excellent Book on Jewish Weddings,
By Jason Frazier (Greenville, TX USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Made in Heaven: A Jewish Wedding Guide (Hardcover)
This book is an awesome guide to a Jewish wedding and explains the Scriptural & traditional references behind it. It requires only a basic level of Judaica terminology (most of the phrases & words are explained as you go along). It is a must read for all Jews, Messianic Jews, & Christians.
