5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff!
I love these figs. The natural flavor is well preserved and there's no added sugar which makes it a great healthy snack when those between-meals hunger pangs hit you. I've quickly run through my 6 pack.

2.0 out of 5 stars Label is Misleading
I've enjoyed this same Made in Nature Black Mission Figs product purchased at Whole Foods Market, and assumed I would get the same product via Amazon. However, the figs ordered through Amazon, labeled as "Gourmet Jumbo", are clearly not "Jumbo", and are much smaller than the Whole Foods Market version. Disappointing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great figs, not all fresh though, March 29, 2009

These figs taste great! It's almost like eating candy. I was told about these figs from my friend. Figs are very good for you, they help keep your insides clean, good source of fiber. At the health food store they cost over $4.00 a bag. Amazon had a great price. You should keep them in the frig to keep them fresh. The only disappointment I have with my order from Amazon is they are not as fresh as the bag I bought from the store. Even though there is a good expiration date on the bags, a couple of figs in each bag were dried out, still edible but not as good. Maybe just got a bad batch, if I order more maybe I can update this and report how those are. Try the Calimyrna figs from this company too, they're just as yummy!

The black mission figs are awesome!! Fantastic value with 6 packs for $18, especially considering these are organic and unsulfured. I recently ordered the Calimyrna variety from Made in Nature, as well, and it just confirms to me that I can probably trust them on the dried apricots now, too.

I am truly astonished by any review giving these figs less than five stars. Not only are they organic, they are sun dried, which is very hard to find. Every bag I opened contained sweet, plump, delicious figs. I'm just now reading that figs are powerful antioxidants, and so I'm even more delighted. I've never taken to dried fruit in a big way. These figs changed that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great low calorie snack, September 19, 2007

These black mission figs are a wonderful low calorie organic, no sugar added snack. Not only are they satisfyingly sweet in themselves but they contain a huge amount of fiber in a small easy to use and pleasant form. I don't find them too hard or dry myself, quite the contrary. But if you do there are easy ways around that. If you prepare coffee by drip method just place a few on top of the ground coffee before or while pouring the water. By the time the coffee is ready your moist soft figs will be too. Just rinse off any clinging coffee grounds before eating. Tea drinker? Add the figs to the cup with the teabag and let them sit while the tea brews. Otherwise just pour boiled (not boiling) water over them and let them sit for 3 to 5 minutes maximum. No need to boil or stew these beauties. These are one of the best dried fruits available for the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious and healthy!, April 10, 2009
This review is from: Made In Nature Organic Black Mission Figs, Sun-Dried and Unsulfured, 8-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
I found these on Amazon since I was craving figs, and they are absolutely delicious! High in dietary fiber, calcium, and iron. They are naturally sweet (no sugar added). Great for a healthy snack.

I thought 3 pounds of these would be too much, but they're so delicious I can easily go through a bag(.5lb) a day.

I'm curious about the Calimyrna Figs as well, but they're significantly more expensive so I think I'll stick with these for now. =)

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good figs, April 2, 2008
These figs are soft and easy to chew. I prefer the Calimyrna, but find these to be a very tasty and cheaper alternative. Overall, a very good organic snack.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Stuff, September 12, 2007

I find these figs to be chewy and sweet. It is true that occasionally one fig may be a bit too dried out. I have experienced this with figs from other suppliers, so I guess it is an issue with the industry as a whole.

These are a great alternative to sugary deserts and are a good, wholesome snack, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars My candy!, February 16, 2011

I am actually embarassed to tell you how much I love these organic, sun-dried, unsulfured figs ~ they are my candy! My true confession ~ I can eat the entire 8-ounce bag of Made In Nature Organic Black Mission Figs, Sun-Dried and Unsulfured, 8-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)...in one sitting! I crave these sweet, moist, chewy figs and have absolutely no self control once the package is opened. And the package says there are 6 servings to the bag...yikes! Thank goodness I can purchase them at Amazon for a much better price than at my local health food store. And they are such a great value at Amazon, I buy them frequently, often twice in one month.
