Editorial Reviews

Deluxe three disc (two CDs + DVD) edition includes bonus DVD. 2011 live release from the guitar slinger. Recorded at the Victoria Hall in Stoke On Trent on July 24th, this concert marked Slash's return to the town in which he grew up. The show came towards the end of his 2010/11 world tour in support of his debut solo album Slash . Lead vocals on the tour were handled by Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge and the setlist featured tracks from his solo album, from his albums with both Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver and classic songs that he co-wrote for Guns'n'Roses.

3.0 out of 5 stars Special Edition...sort of. December 9, 2011
Format:Audio CD
I originally purchased this version (2CD/DVD0 thinking it contained the full filmed concert on the DVD that Slash was talking about on his website. Turns out, due to copyright issues with several of the songs featured on the DVD, they could only release the five tracks that are included here. The full DVD and Blu-Ray is available in the UK. I actually ordered the standard single DVD from Amazon UK. In case you're concerned, the disc is NTSC, Region 0, so it should play in most North American players. From what Eagle Entertainment told me, the Blu-Ray should also be Region-free. At least you know the full concert DVD is out there...just not in the format that we expected.

5.0 out of 5 stars Slash is the Guitar God November 15, 2011
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
This live disc proves once again, Slash is the guitar god, but he is also responsible for the writing credit of some of the best rock songs ever penned. This compilation is not too different than the ones recorded and offered for sale at his shows last year on tour with Myles Kennedy, but Made in Stoke is a bit longer and more diverse. It's good to see Snakepit songs on here too; he ought to do a part II Re-Made in LA and include some more Snakepit songs. There are some lost gems on those two albums and with Myles singing they can bring the best out on of them. Night Train, Ghost, and Mean Bone are quite a way to get started, and ending with "Paradise City" is like being at an old GNR concert. Myles is such a great vocalist and he sings those GNR songs superior to any version ever heard live (Civil War, Mr. Brownstone, and Sweet Chid). The opening to "Slither" is awesome and "Watch This" is a great showcase of both guitar and band. Made in Stoke is one of the best live albums I've ever heard. I look forward to the next studio album. They're doing great things and making RNR.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!
This is awesome! Slash is a freaking master of music. Myles Kennedy is a pretty damn good singer as well, and does an really good job covering the old G'NR tunes.

I was pleasantly suprised how much I liked Apocalyptic Love. I am not a fan of Alter Bridge and wasn't sure what I'd think of it. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars The VINYL version has a major manufacturing defect!
First of all, let me say that the band's performance on this album is fantastic. It was also professionally recorded, so it sounds great. Read more

This greatly exceeds my expectations! Slash, his band really outdid themselves on this one and I daresay that is one of the best live albums released in quite awhile.

Blu-Ray Release?
Second to the blu-ray question... will be released on blu-ray in the U.S? If not, will the Blu-ray version from the amazon.co.uk work in the U.S.?
