I have to admit that I hadn't really heard a lot about Gotthard, but after watching this DVD, I have gone out and bought all their CD's.
It's a shame such a great band is hardly known outside of Europe. They have a stack of great songs and know how to rock, also have great ballads. I am having trouble putting this DVD down, I leave it for a few days and have to watch it again and again, it really says a lot of how good this is. If you love a good rock concert, buy this, you won't be disappointed. Steve Lee is a great singer with a presence on stage and has a great voice, I can't wait for another CD & DVD from this band.

Virtually unknown outside of Europe and Japan, the best-selling melodic rock stars Gotthard finally decided to serve up a live DVD to go along with their catalogue of amazing melodic rock albums. Expectations were high, and Made in Switzerland does not disappoint.

Main Program - Gotthard chose wisely when they elected to record this DVD on their home turf. The platinum-selling band is practically a household name in Switzerland, and it looks like half the country (the attractive half anyway) turned out to see the band perform. It's the kind of arena rocking show you'd expect from Bon Jovi (Gotthard's American equivalent). The band is in top form, rocking their way through 17 of their most impressive melodic rock hits. The crowd energy is amazing, and the production values are incredibly high. It's really everything you hope for when you buy a live DVD, and I suspect it would make an insanely good Blu Ray.

Bonus Features - Of course the best bonus feature of all is the accompanying audio CD that captures most of the performance. I'd have paid full price for that high quality live CD alone.

The Verdict - If your DVD can handle PAL format, then Made in Switzerland is a must-have. Gotthard is an amazing melodic rock band, and this DVD release is every bit as impressive as the band's albums. I can't recommend it highly enough.

This has to be the best band not known in the USA. These guys rock from start to finish. If you like Bon Jovi you will love Gotthard, they are better. Give it a listen and you will be surprised............

While I have not had a chance to view the concert DVD,if it is half as good as this cd it is worth the price.This cd covers different songs from all phases of Gotthard's career all the way through Lipservice. Standout tracks include,but not limited to:All We Are,Let it be,& The Mighty Quinn,just to name a few. excellent from start to finish! Give it a spin.
