BoA's mind and thoughts!,

This review is from: Made in Twenty (20) (Audio CD)
Her 5th album has alot of meanings for her. Each songs she has written has what she really wants of her age which is 20. To be mature and to let her fans know about what she is really mean with the songs she has chosen for this album.
What BoA said in her comment to her fans at the Japanese site: Neowing.co.jp about the new album is true....here is what she said- "My new album "MADE IN TWENTY (20)," on sale January 17, 2007, is going to be my fifth original album! As my first release since turning 20, I think the perspective in my lyrics and the feel of the songs has become a little more mature with this release. I think anyone will be able to listen to this album, relax with this album, and enjoy this release. Regardless of the genre of music you like, I think you'll enjoy this album." I must say i was very touched with Our Love to my parents, a song for her parents. Something we need to thanks our parents.....really good! Her other songs are good too like Key of Heart and Brand New Beat. I recommend to buy this cd including the dvd as well. Dvd has good clips and the performances she did last year while going Live. BoA is a great and cool singer. She's sweet and has very nice voice to listen to.

I must admit, I've actually heard this album on a plane coming back from Germany in mid-May. Due to the fact that miss Boa Kwon actually sings the entire album in Korean, there are some scattered passages in English, resulting in MADE IN 20's opening track, "Lady Galaxy". Through it all, the closing all-English track is her cover of George Michael's "Last Christmas". Now the bonus DVD that came with the CD has 3 music videos & some highlights from "BoA the Live". My fave music video is "Brand New Beat", which I'm sorry to say, works better with the sound off, because I don't understand Korean. My other fave is "Winter Love". In the best way, it makes me wish that Boa Kwon would make an entire compilation in English. Untill then, I'll enjoy what I've got.

BoA is my third favorite artist and this cd will stand on that fact! She has a great voice and she's very talented in dancing, singing, and knowing numerous languages!!! WONDERFUL CD to add to your collection! ^_^

Same as usual,
This review is from: Made in Twenty (Audio CD)
This new CD is standard BoA fare....6 or so slow love songs, 2 or so upbeat dance numbers, and at least one hardcore hip-pop song produced by Daisuke Imai. There's also a few "Winter" songs, including BoA's rendition of "Last Christmas", which is pretty nasal, as another reviewer put it (most likely due to her straining to sing in a foreign language), but it sounds alright.
There's very few standouts here...But they're all pretty good. "Rainbow Tomorrow" (the only song on the entire CD with a Japanese title) and "Your Color" are superb (if you haven't bought the single already), as is Winter Love. The only other track I would mention is the obligatory "rap beat" song, interestingly titled, "Revolution-CODE 1986-1105". Daisuke Imai's instrumentals are great as usual, however the song is somewhat marred by a "rapper" in the form of "Rah-D" brought in for the sole purpose of bringing "edge" to the song ("Alright, my people, class is now in session/And since knowledge is the key/the lesson begins now!"). Even despite his lyrical stylings, this song is horribly catchy. The bottom line is, this is a solid BoA CD with more notable tracks than you might expect. If you're looking for the new "Valenti", though...keep looking.

not the BoA she used to be,

This album is FAR inferior from her first and second. With every album release, her voice deteriorates just a bit more. Now she sounds very nasally and stuffed, as if she has a very bad nasal congestion. This is a real shame since she has some good songs. I don't know if her voice change is related to nose surgery or what, but the end result is not pretty.
