Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

Grade 3-5-This book focuses on the Cannondale bicycle factory in Bedford, PA, and its daily operations. Each step in the production process-designing, testing, welding, painting, etc.-is covered in a short paragraph. "Fun Facts" supply other bits of information, and full-color photographs show factory employees at work. George Ochoa's Let's Visit a Bicycle Factory (Troll, 1990; o.p.) and Henry Horenstein's How Is a Bicycle Made? (S & S, 1993; o.p.) also deal with bicycle building. Some readers might find this book interesting, but it's an additional purchase for most collections.
