2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I wanted, April 9, 2010

2 critical flaws on this item: (1)Somehow the cup added a acrid flavor to my coffee. I don't know how this is possible - it is the main reason I wanted a ceramic cup vs a stainless steel cup, but the flavor is no bettter than a steel cup. I want a flavor-neutral cup. (2) The cap can sometimes dribble liquid if I don't pay attention and make sure I tip it just the right amount and line it up just right. I want a cup I can swig from without thinking. It is a travel mug: It needs to be very forgiving, but it's not. That said, the company that sold it packed it well and shipped it quickly. It also fits well in my car's cup holder. I like the way it looks. But I can't recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not Perfect, but better than plastic, April 16, 2011
This review is from: Made in the USA - Ceramic Retro Blue Travel Coffee Mug
I got this mug as I didn't want a plastic travel mug that made my coffee taste like plastic and that was also easy to clean. I don't know what the other poster is talking about with the taste, mine is fine. It does however leak if you are not careful. The lid is not snug and has a very small drink opening, if you tip it back too far you'll be wearing more coffee than you're drinking. But for me the trade-off is worth it. No plastic, no worries about BPA, leeching, it's dishwasher safe, microwavable and I don't have to worry about coffee and whatever else filling the voids. My last travel mug was so hard to clean and coffee seeped into the lid and the mug to where I couldn't clean it. There's no where for coffee to seep into on this cup, no worries about mold or fungus or whatever else. So if it's worth the trade-off, get this mug.
