This book is funny. When he put on his dinosaur head and peanut butter and jelly fell onto him, I fell off the couch laughing. If your mom is forcing you to read, you should read this.

Diane Roberts has crafted a book filled with funny characters, funny situations, realistic dialogue, and a great game show that kids will love. My 12 year old daughter read it all in one night, way past her bedtime because she couldn't put it down. I finally got ahold of it and ended up sitting in a cold tub because I didn't want to stop reading.

Grab your funny bone and prepare to laugh at this wonderful first novel by a very funny writer.

Diane Roberts Made Me Look for sure! I had great fun reading this book and I know my children will as well. I hope to see a lot more from this writer!
I highly recommend this book for your middle grade reader!

I read the book Made you look by Diane Roberts. I thought that this book sounded like it was written by a kid. This book was also very predictable. I think that kids can relate to the feelings of the main character in this book who really wants something and tries to get it even though the chances are slim.


The main character in this book is Jason and he really wants to get on to the show Masquerade Mania with the beautiful Jasmine and funny Desmond O'. Jason really thinks that he'll get his chance because his whole family is going to go to California!


When Jason and his family go to pick up his dad at from a business trip at the airport, Jason gets a big surprise. They're not flying to California; they're driving in their Aunt and Uncle's camp'otel. Jason is shocked. He'll still be the only one in his class who has never flown on an airplane. Jason spends the time with his family traveling to California (along with his friend Freddy) without complaining. Will things turn out the way Jason hoped they will or will the whole trip just be a pie in the face?


Read Made you Look by Diane Roberts to find out what happens to Jason and if his big plans come true. This book is 160 pages and I think that kids who like some comedy will really like it. You might even find yourself relating to Jason's problems!

The book I'm reviewing is Made You Look. The author is Diane Roberts. This book takes place most of the time in a camper and at some campgrounds on their way to California. This book is a comedy book for all ages, a pretty short read at 150 pages.
The main character is Jason. He is the star of the book that tries to get on to Masquerade Mania (which is a show in the book) no mater what. He is a character who always jokes around. Freddy is his friend who is willing to do whatever he can for Jason. He is even willing to help him get on to Masquerade Mania. Finally, Amberson is the bully who copies and or ruins Jason's dreams.
Jason's family bought the Death Camper from their aunt and uncle. But the aunt and uncle were glad on get rid of the camper, because every camping trip they went to they had bad luck. Like one time, a poisonous snake had bitten their uncle and he puffed up like a balloon.
When Jason found out that Freddy could come on the camping trip he totally went crazy and ran like the wind over to Freddy's house. He and Freddy couldn't wait to get packing and leave for California. That meant they were closer to Masquerade Mania than they had ever been before.
Mom had an idea to make a suggestion box to where they should go in California. The family could write down three places for each person. To give one extra suggestion Mom came up with a quiz for every state.
My favorite part of the book was when the finally made it to California, and met the old lady who let them tour her house. She had been a famous movie star and her house was an old mansion that was filled with movie props.
I would recommend this book to anybody who likes to read comedy or is looking for a light quick read. I give it ***** 5 stars.

My favorite character is Jason, because when he wants something, he goes the whole nine yards to make it happen, even driving cross-country from Texas to California in his grandparents` giant sardine can, their camp`otel. The main reason he wants to be on the T.V. show isn`t just to meet the master of ceremonies, Jasmine, or Desmond O the host, oh no, it is to win a trip to Hawaii and movie tickets for a whole year!
Read Made You Look to find out if Jason makes it big on Masquerade Mania, or does he miss out on the vacation of a lifetime? I love this book because it is the funniest comedy of all time. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good laugh!

In this book the main characters are Jason and Freddy and they are funny characters. When Jason and Freddy were in Jason's living room and they were watching their favorite TV show, when some guy won a trip to Hawaii. Then Jason goes on his IM and his dad signs on so he starts to talk to him, hi dad (he was in California because of his work). Hi son, he typed back. Then Jason got an idea! Dad, could Mom and I come and visit you? He typed. Before Jason knew what was happening, his dad and mom were on the phone talking and arranging the hotel reservations. Jason's favorite TV show was live in California. When they got there, they had a box of choices and everyone put in a suggestion. Jason wanted to get on the TV show and win something, but his family tricked him.

My favorite part of the book is when Jason's mom dyes Jason's underwear pink because the author has a sense of humor and wanted to share it.

I liked this book because it was funny and I enjoyed the characters.

I wish I had written this one! Diane Roberts has hit the ball out of the park. "Made You Look" had me in stitches from the word go. Do the young person in your family a favor and buy them this book. Hollywood should buy rights to this one. The great reviews are certainly deserved. This book is a laughfest deluxe!

The author is entertaining you while you read this book because the author uses fun settings, good words, and difficult problems. The book is about a boy named Jason who is trying to get on a TV show called Masquerade Mania, which is a TV show that Jason and his family are big fans of. So Jason's dad is where they film the show so his dad lets Jason how to get on the show. Jason creates a costume to get on the show. They pick the people on the show by how cool their costume is. Read this book to find out what happens to Jason does he or does he not make the show. I would recommend this book to anyone that can read. A wonderful book I would give it an A+.
