Madeline 8 inch Poseable Doll

Turn off the television, give away the Barbies and read the Madeline stories together. Then present your child with this Madeline doll or one of her friends, and watch the imagination roll in wholesome play. This little doll delights all my girls between the ages of one and six (although we did not give the shoes, socks or gloves to the littlest). They take her and her friends in the bathtub, out in the sandbox, everywhere! She holds up nicely and washes easily, and her hair, although it isn't quite as nice and neat as it used to be, is fun to comb and restyle. The smallest fingers will need help dressing Madeline and her friends, and little shoes are easily lost, but, with a little organization and some initial assistance, your three-year-old and above should catch on in no time! This is an ideal toy if you wish to avoid giving your child overly-developed Barbies or other toys that do nothing to stimulate wholesome play. Better yet, it may also instill in her a stronger interest in the Madeline books and consequently a lifetime love of reading. As a homeschool family of four young girls, we love Madeline and her values!

With two daughters hooked on Barbie's, I was looking for a doll that they could better relate to in terms of the body, clothes, etc. Madeline has been so much fun for them. They love changing her clothes and pretend she is off on an adventure. My daugters enjoyed their first Madeline so much, that we have added Chloe, Nicole, and her other friends. Some of the outfits are difficult for my 4-year-old to change.

My soon to be 3 year old daughter recieved this doll as a gift this summer. Madeline goes everywhere with her and has many adventures. My daughter loves to change her outfits and act out scenes from the videos. I think madeline is an excellent role model for young children. I like her too.

My daughter loves Madeline, and because she watches the videos all the time (the title of this review comes from the song in the videos), we got her the doll for Christmas. The doll is great for little girls because she's shaped more like a little girl (as compared to Barbie). My three-year-old daughter can dress her about half the time--the doll is small and therefore the outfits can be hard for little hands, but she's starting to get the hang of it. The dolls seem to do OK in the bathtub, are small enough to carry everywhere, and the outfits are cute. We also have Danielle.

I really like the Madeline 8" doll because there are a lot of great clothes and acessories that you can buy for her. It's a great alternative to super-skinny big-bust Barbie dolls, especially for Madeline fans. I would recommend buying one or two of Madeline's 8" friends to make playing even more fun.

Madeline is a doll with a beautiful story! So for my to play with my daughter with Madeline and her friends, means a lot of fun and imagination. The doll's pretty wardrobe and accesories adds even more fun.

I Have three of the madaline and friends dolls and I love them!!! perfect alternate to Bratz.(After all there BRATS!!). If you need a good preasant for your doll loving girl get her madaline. Period.
