An "old house in Paris" would probably have elegant furnishings, just like these three pieces designed for use with the Madeline dollhouse.The tall bookcase is made of wood-grained brown plastic, with two shelves on top and storage cupboards on the bottom that open with little gold plastic knobs. The elegant grandfather clock is made of the same wood-toned plastic, with a gold clock face to tell the little girls that it's time for school. The third piece in the set is a large, 11.5-by-7-inch laminated cloth rug in a bright French country print, with neatly bound sides and ecru fringe on the ends. --Marcie Bovetz

i ordered all of the accessory sets for my madeline doll house and they are well worth the money. the accessories are like presents within presents. there's a lot of packaging involved with unwrapping these items, but there's always a fun surprise waiting inside.

the bookshelf is just begging for some miniature books and photos. there's a cabinet below the shelves and you can store more accessories there. the area rug is bright and pretty and the grandfather clock is adorable. if you order the "starter kit" you'll be able to use the wing chair in the living room too. i ordered the 8" madeline artist accessory set and madeline is stationed in the living room painting her canvas while miss clavel relaxes in the upolstered chair by the window.

as with all the madeline doll house accessory sets, this one gets 5 stars!
