This review is from: Madeline and the Toy Factory [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Seeing the children run amok in a toy store, Miss Clavell decides to take them to a toy factory. The ever-energetic Madeline falls onto a conveyor belt, and is boxed up as a doll. Thinking that this will be great fun, Madeline plays the part, and is purchased for a sickly little girl named Gizelle. Gizelle has no friends of her own, and feels quite bad when Miss Clavell arrives to take Madeline home. Madeline comes to the rescue, but organizing an outing for all of Miss Clavell's girls to Gizelle's house, where they make her part of the group.
I loved this movie for several reasons. First of all, this movie has the same quality of all the Madeline cartoons. Secondly, I loved the lesson that it taught. This is an excellent movie.

I bought this VHS when my daughter was 4 years old. It is one that she wanted to watch over and over again.
Simple story, simply animated, yet with a touching message and cute songs. I would find myself singing "Me & My Doll" while cleaning the house! Great story to demonstrate true friendship. |
