When she and her new friend, Kevin, zero in on the executive behind her father s death, they discover an ex-CIA hitman is zeroing in on them. 5.0 out of 5 stars Brogan gets better with each book., December 10, 2011
This review is from: Madison's Avenue (Hardcover)
Mike Brogan's first novel, "Business to Kill For" was a fast paced thriller with an authentic background. I reviewed it for "Rowse Reviews."

Then came "Dead Air". His latest, "Madison's Avenue" is arguably the best yet. Even my wife liked it, and she is both an avid reader and

a tough critic of crime fiction. My suggestion: put Brogan on your must read list.

5.0 out of 5 stars A convincing tale of corporate intrigue, March 20, 2010
This review is from: Madison's Avenue (Hardcover)
Madison McKean's life is on a full-speed collision course with disaster. Her father, an advertising agency CEO, is accused of embezzlement and promptly kills himself (or so the police say), which puts his daughter in charge of the agency. As the new CEO, Madison finds herself at odds with many of her employees, and the target of a devious assassin being financed by some very high rollers. And then things get worse.

Author Mike Brogan has weaved a tale of intrigue set in the world of capitalism, corporations, and their criminals. His knowledge and expertise of international business give Madison's Avenue an air of authenticity, and his skills keep the tale from being overbearing and predictable. He also keeps you on your toes until the very last pages and hits you with an ending you can't see coming.

Summer is approaching, and this book is a good way to spend some time while soaking in the sun. It's got all the trappings of a seasonal read: romance, adventure, murder, and a healthy dose of subterfuge. Brogan may not yet be a household name, but this novel puts him one step closer to becoming one. -- Doug Brunell for the FEARLESS REVIEWS

5.0 out of 5 stars I lost an entire night of sleep. It was worth it., February 25, 2010
This review is from: Madison's Avenue (Hardcover)
Madison McKean receives a frantic phone call from her father, Mark McKean. He is the Chairman and CEO of Turner Advertising in Manhattan. When Madison arrives at his residence a few hours later, the police inform her he has committed suicide. Madison does not believe it. Her father has been refusing a takeover by ComGlobe, an agency conglomerate that has a history of fattening their own pockets with one hand, while handing out pink slips with the other.

Madison is soon elected as the new Chairperson of Turner Advertising. Not all of the board members are happy about it either. Should ComGlobe take over, each of those board members would become very wealthy. The only person Madison feels able to trust is Kevin Jordan, the Creative Director.

When Madison and Kevin begin digging for the truth, they become the target of an ex-CIA hitman.

***** FIVE STARS! Working high up in the ranks of a billion dollar corporation can be more than nerve racking at the best of times. Some find it tempting to lower their morals and get rich quickly by burying the competition, stabbing coworkers in the back, or selling corporate secrets. In this story, Mike Brogan drags the shady world of big businesses into the light for all to view. The ComGlobe merger plot is no different from all the other shark infested companies in America that lay off workers and out-source job positions.

This well written story caught my attention quickly and never let go. Part mystery and part thriller, this corporate tale will test your wits while keeping you on the edge of your seat. Once you begin reading, be prepared for time to fly by and to possibly lose several hours of sleep. *****
