what a treat for madonna fans - all 5 of her children's books read by the author herself! Plus a bonus DVD with special content. If you're a fan of the books or a fan of Madonna you will love this!

With Madonna's soothing voice speaking to you, how could you not love this selection of children's books? Any age will enjoy this venture into the imaginary worlds of Madonna's children's books, from a few little English girls to a boy named Abdi and beyond. These are stories that not only will you like because they are written by Madonna, but your children will enjoy them, too, because they are meaningful, with funny little quips. The author was able to construct stories based on ancient wisdom of Kabbalah. There's no religious hullabaloo and Kabbalah isn't being forced down your throat. It's simply spirituality, a better way to be human, a better way to be yourself. There are lessons that no one can deny are just pleasant reminders that what we do affects everything, and that responsibility for life and love are in our own hands. Any kid can use a reminder like that nowadays.

If you like Madonna and are just curious to see what those children's books were all about (and have a hard time believing they won't be based on sex) then pick up this audio version of Madonna's children's book series. It's a less expensive, and very soothing way, of getting a little light in your life.

This is an item that all serious Madonna fans should own. It's Madonna reading her own five stories, doing all the voices (and this is really interesting, because she does it so lively) and giving you the chance to listen to her five children's books. I enjoy good children's books and decided to collect the books offered by Madonna. I am from her generation and admire all the things she has done in her life. This 2-disk collection of Madonna reading her books was a great addition to the collection. She adds the spirit and emotional content to the stories she wrote. She could have added a personal note or message or story to add to the content of these CDs. Most of us are unable to get to book signings and readings because we are not close to a big city, this is the next best thing for many. Feel confident in ordering this CD set. Thank you for allowing me to review my purchase.

I got this for my 5 year old son who is a big fan of Madonna's current music. I though he would enjoy her reading the books to him. He is too young to understand or appreciate the stories. They seems to be geared toward teens with school society issues. Madonna is not a very energetic reader either. She does not put in dramatic feeling as some other authors have that we have bought and listened to ( Story Nory). Maybe he will get into this package when he is older.

I PURCHASED THESE BOOKS FOR MY DAUGHTER'S CHRISTMAS GIFT.. SHE LOVES THEM AND WE EVEN LISTEN TO THE CD IN THE CAR!

needless to say.....the books are superb, the illustrations are incredible and the delivery was prompt.

Madonna is known for her many persona's on stage. When reading her book she's just as flexible in moving from one character to the other. The stories told are exciting, but, dear parents, in no way sexually charged! Instead, they leave the listener in good morale. This set comes with an extra CD-Rom with interesting material. The only thing that could have been better is that the video of Madonna reading Mr. Peabody's Apples is very strangely edited: only the beginning and the end of the book are presented. Instead, they should have put the full video of Mr. Peabody's Apples on the cd-rom, as there is enough room left.

Terrific to have in the car, the whole family enjoys these stories and their messages. Highly recommended.

My daughter loves Madonna's books (and I loved her 80's music!) and I thought this would be a great way for her to hear the stories! My husband also transferred the stories onto her iPod (cheaper than buying the individual stories at iTunes) so it is the perfect way to entertain my daughter. It's nice to hear how Madonna intended teh stories to be read!
