When you think of Wilmington, North Carolina, you probably envision rich golden sunsets, deep emerald marshes, tv shows such as Dawson's Creek and One Tree Hill, and, of course, the beautiful sandy beaches. Now, after hearing this cd, you'll be adding Madonna Nash to that list of great things about this coastal town. Madonna is the girl next door with brains, beauty and something the typical girl next door doesn't have, a gift for songwriting and a voice that will knock your flip flops off.
Madonna Nash has made a name for herself around the state of North Carolina with her recognition of being one of the area's top country music talents in the Carolina Music Awards for both 2008 and 2009. She's shared the stage with some of the best artists in the music industry including Edwin McCain, Phil Vassar and Gretchen Wilson. Now she's proving that she can hold her own and has released a new self-titled cd that's taking Nashville by storm and her debut single, "Dirty Little Secret" is garnering rave reviews from radio stations around Music City and throughout the country. The cd is a combination of soul searching and heartfelt ballads such as "Firefly" and "You Never Say it First" as well as seductive songs with attitude like "Dirty Little Secret" and "Watch My Purse".
Madonna's proving that she's a force to be reckoned with, making sure you're still humming her songs in the car after leaving her show, and push this envelope as far as it will go. She has the "Drive" to make it happen and she's doing this her way. Seems to be working just fine from the reviews that are coming in and the comments I've been receiving from the online promoting I do from time to time for the cd.

North Carolina native Madonna Nash is knocking loud and clear on country music and music row is listening. Nash is no flash in the pan country female artist,she's paid her dues and working her way towards the top in country music. Madonna is no stranger to the stage, she performs through out her locale of Wilmington North Carolina and Nashville,Tenneessee. What you get from Nash is pure honesty, a vulnerable tenderness and sass all her own. Nash's first single release from her debut album "Dirty Little Secret" is down right upbeat fun, so catchy you'll be singinging along. On tracks "Destiny", "Beautiful" and "Firefly" one would describe as geniunely sweet as the person she is,it's no wonder I'm pushing hard for her. On "Whiskey Whispers" country is country good, a song I'd put in the category of the late great Patsy Cline's "Crazy". Other tracks include "You Never Say It First", "Drive", "Out Of Town", "Swingin' Door", "Out Of Sight(Out Of Mind)", "Those Were The Days", "Don't Leave" and the bonus track "Watch My Purse". The album is a must have for any country music fan and just because I said so. You'll enjoy it so much you'll want more than one copy. Madonna Nash has it, country appeal to the core. What I see and hear is nothing short of ordinary,it's extordinary. Madonna Nash, grade A, the new "It" girl of country music.
