This song is one of the most beautiful songs I ever heard.
Chad DeFeo
Madonna was the most contreversial artist of the 80s and esspecially with " like a prayer " being the most contreversial video of Madonna's whole carrer .
Rocky Papa
And she shows her maternal side when she appears playing with the black kid."Oh Father" is a quite sad video, but it's realistic and I like it.

Arguably the most influential video artist of the MTV generation, and the one to benefit most from MTV, was Madonna.
This collection is a companion piece of sorts to her CD of the same name, with a few differences here and there. Conspicuously absent are 'Live To Tell', 'True Blue', and 'Into The Groove'.
Early videos like 'Lucky Star' and 'Material Girl' come off a little dated, though still alot of fun to watch. Though all of the vidoes have a distinctive feel, the clutch of videos she produced for the LIKE A PRAYER album remain a benchmark in her videography, particularly the visually stunning 'Express Yourself' and the highly undervalued 'Oh Father'(which remains a creative high-point to this day). The sterling videoclip for 'Vogue' rounds out the set videowise, followed by an unnecessarily tacked-on (and lip-synched) performance of 'Vogue' from one of the MTV Awards shows. Consider this a primer for whats to come--though her biggest radio hits were in the '80s, her best videos came in the '90s, as displayed in her second video compilation 93:99.

This is a great video, but it lacks many videos: "Everybody," "Burning Up," "Crazy For You," "Into The Groove," "True Blue," "Live To Tell," and many others I know.
What gives?! Why weren't all her video from her '80s career put on here?
Other than that, the videos included are great! That's why I gave it four stars.

This video is great to watch, plus it gave me high school memories watching Madonna in "Material Girl", "Papa Don't Preach", "Open Your Heart", "Borderline", "Is La Bonita", and the others such as "Vogue" in 1990. I really enjoy it and I know you will too!

In late 1990, Madonna had released her first greatest hits album entitled, The Immaculate Collection. Who knew that she wouldn?t stop there? This homevideo of the same name is nothing short of amazing, featuring Madonna?s greatest music videos from 1984 to 1990.
LUCKY STAR
Released in August of 1984 as the fifth & final single from the album, Madonna (1983). Her style in this video was made to be the most popular style in all of fashion history. This is a groundbreaking video and every fan should have seen it.
BORDERLINE
Released in February of 1984 as the fourth single from the album, Madonna (1983). Although this video was listed secondly, after the Lucky Star music video, let it be known that this single & video were released before Lucky Star. This is yet another incredible video.
LIKE A VIRGIN
Released in November of 1984 as the first single from the album, Like A Virgin (1984). This was Madonna's first #1 hit single and it is the #1 hit single that propelled her into superstardom. The video, as we all know, is nothing short of a classic. It features Madonna, still in her classic early 80s style, traveling through the canals of Venice, Italy. Yes, I love this because it is shot in Italy, which is where I received most of my national heritage.
MATERIAL GIRL
Released in January of 1985 as the second single from the album, Like A Virgin (1984). Madonna again received a wide load of positive recognition, for in this video, she dresses up like 60s actress & icon, Marilyn Monroe. The reason for her Marilyn Monroe parody is that Material Girl is a song that pokes fun at women who are materialistic and Marilyn Monroe, despite her being one of Madonna's idols, was very materialistic indeed.

Madonna was the most contreversial artist of the 80s and esspecially with " like a prayer " being the most contreversial video of Madonna's whole carrer . But they should have dropped VOUGE FROM THE 1990 MTV AWARDS SHOW and added JUSTIFY MY LOVE .
They could have rated the video R , so I don't get the whole IMMACULATE thing . It's a great buy on DVD or VHS , but it doesn't matter if your a fan of the 1983 - 1990 Madonna .

I've owned this video for many years and am still impressed by the new ground Madonna staked in the music video medium.
Though there were some noteable absentees, I feel it is a good, well-rounded collection. Take off the last video from the MTV Video Awards (can you say, "lip-sync"?), and put in the Dear Jesse video not released in the U.S., or True Blue even.

I felt the video was very good, though I was surprised that all of her music videos were not on here. There were several classic videos missing such as: Crazy For You, True Blue, The Gambler, Who's That Girl, Dress You Up, Into The Groove, Live To Tell and a few others. But despite this, I think the video is worth buying.
