5.0 out of 5 stars The Madrid Codices of Leonardo Da Vinci, May 4, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: The Madrid codices (Leather Bound)
This is a irreplaceable edition of the Madrid Codices done in both Italian and English. It is for the very serious student or researcher on Leonardo Da Vinci. The Codices were discovered in the National Library of Spain in 1965 and published with arrangements of the Spanish Ministry of Education. They were edited and writen by the renowned Vincian scholar Ladislao Reti who worked on these at the University of California at Los Angeles. Only 985 were placed on sale and most of these are in Univeristy Research Libraries. Unlike many projects such as this, this is a beautiful set when on a shelf in your home or library. It contains facinating information not obtainable from any other source. It takes days to study the complete set of 5 volumes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Madrid Codices, July 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Madrid Codices (Hardcover)
This collection was exactly as described if in truth not better than described. Williams Books was a pleasure to work with and took real pride in being sure that the books arrived in as good a condition as they were before they took the cross-country trip with USPS. Neil Williams personally followed up to let me know the status of my order. I recommend Williams Books to all that may be trying to find the hard to find or special book. Neil subsequent to this transaction even found me something I was looking for that happened to be in Milan. Thanks Neil!
