This songs will never disappear, May 26, 2009

I am a Beatles tribute album fan, but at the time I didn't notice this CD. Of course I already had many of the songs found elsewhere, but when I finally have been able to get an used copy of this, I still found some surprises. The version of "Mother" by the Kubb is so calm, relaxing, delicate and beautiful as it never was before. "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" by The Subways is working very well, but it's not hard with a song like that (do you remember It's the singer or the song?). The Feeder's "Beautiful Boy", the Vines "I'm Only Sleeping" and Joseph Arthur's "Look At Me" are great covers. And what about the terrific "I am the Walrus" by Oasis? It's still the encore in their today's tour! Strangely enough, but what a good surprise, in my copy there is "Happy Xmas" by Badly Drawn Boy but no Elbow "Working Class Hero".
