5.0 out of 5 stars Very cool!, June 2, 2009
This review is from: Magcraft NSN0570 1/8-Inch Rare Earth Cube Magnets, 100-Count (Tools & Home Improvement)
These magnets are cool and useful. One magnet can hold four pieces of paper or four 4x6 photos to my fridge. They are very small though, all 100 make a little less than a 5/8" square. If you are buying these to hold stuff to other stuff, they work great. If you are buying them to play around with, you might want to go with some round ones... they are much easier to mold because they can rotate automatically to adjust to polarity shifts, something which these square magnets can't easily do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful to hang things, August 26, 2007
This review is from: Magcraft NSN0570 1/8-Inch Rare Earth Cube Magnets, 100-Count (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have a large metal filing cabinet that I wanted to hang Christmas cards and other such photos of people on. I tried sticky-tack and goop of various sorts, but the humidity would cause them to fall off. These magnets turned out to be just the thing. It did take one in each corner (the magnets are really pretty small) to keep the photo from curling, but they worked wonderfully well.

much better than spherical magnets. they're like a puzzle, trying to find congruent sides while shaping these is slightly mind-bending. very hard to put down. very strong. i've had them a month and still no metal flakes

5.0 out of 5 stars Best purchase for a 4th grader ever!, March 4, 2011

This review is from: Magcraft NSN0570 1/8-Inch Rare Earth Cube Magnets, 100-Count (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this product to be given to a "special" 4th grader who is on a "points system" where he can earn small prizes for demonstrating desired behaviors. I had bought him a similar set of 64 and he loved them so much he requested more! He is an auditory learner and plays with them during class to help manage his ADHD. When i offered them to him as a choice of rewards and several of his classmates said they wanted them too. In total about 7 4th graders recommend this product. Apparently you can do a lot of neat tricks with them and they are pretty strong (according to 4th grader's self-reports). I would say for the price, quality, hours of amusement, and educational value, to buy them for kids of a similar age. Heck, im 28 and i would even play with them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Total refrigerator improver, February 16, 2011

This review is from: Magcraft NSN0570 1/8-Inch Rare Earth Cube Magnets, 100-Count (Tools & Home Improvement)
These magnets are great! I was really tired of having big, bulky magnets on my refrigerator that couldn't hold up many things and distracted from the pictures and cards I was mounting. These are tiny and were easy to place in the corners of each photo. They're hardly noticeable, and as mentioned in a previous review - when friends notice them they're pretty amazed.

I love these and will likely purchase more for my office or home when the need arises!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tiny strong buggers!, February 1, 2011

WOW these are smaller than I was expecting, I guess I should have broke out a ruler when ordering. I only bought them to hold up postcards on my metal cabinet, and they do the job well. One by itself can hold up 3 cards. I actually have these in a larger size, about 8 of these combined and they're almost TOO strong. Near impossible to remove so these are actually perfect. Heck you get 100 so if one doesn't do the job two will.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really small, but still cool, January 31, 2011

Don't underestimate how small these are - there are *100* in the package. That's really tiny! That said, they still do a great job for holding up photos or light papers to metal surfaces. They aren't crazy strong, but they are definitely crazy strong for their size!

If you're trying to affix something to a slightly less metal surface, you might want to pick a little bigger size. In particular, I was trying to use these on some fabric-covered cubicle walls at work. They did hold a piece of paper up, but just barely. I would have needed to use a couple. Still really impressive, and highly recommended, just be aware!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but not quite what I needed, January 26, 2011

This review is from: Magcraft NSN0570 1/8-Inch Rare Earth Cube Magnets, 100-Count (Tools & Home Improvement)
After reviewing the specs I ordered these for my spice rack organization project, 2011 edition. I've decided to place my spices in round metal tins and stick those to the refrigerator, and I thought I might be able to hold each tin with two of these.

As it turns out, it takes something more like four or five for a 2oz tin, and it would also be more practical to glue the magnets to the tin as they tend to stay behind on the fridge. Not so bad with one magnet; more of a pain with five. I think I will purchase a larger sized, disc shaped version for this project.

That said, these are a whole lot of fun, and they're doing a great job holding papers and photos to the fridge.

I was looking for tiny magnets to hold pictures on my metal cabinets at work. These work perfectly. And everyone is amazed by them - definitely the conversation starter. They are extremely strong for their size. The only downsize is once stuck to metal, they are often are to pick up because they are so tiny.

4.0 out of 5 stars Strong small magnets., July 24, 2010

Very strong, so be aware of how difficult to pull apart the small magnets. If you want small and strong ones, this is good.
