I bought some sheet metal from the local hardware store and lined my walls with it. I do a lot of graphic oriented work so I chose to do this over a bulletin board which leaves papers torn and with holes.

I started out by using black metal disk magnets, but they weren't very strong, left black residue on the papers and were so bulky they got in the way of what I was looking at. The Magcraft magnets are a great alternative.

They barely take up any viewing space, they're really strong, don't leave a residue and just look elegant on the wall.

The only bad side is that since they're small and flat (1/4" x 1/4" x 1/10"), they're really hard to get off the metal surface if they are flat against the wall. I found that they work extremely well if you place them on the 1/10" side so they protrude from the wall. They're much easier to grab, still strong on that side and look cool too.

In all, I ordered three packs of these, happy how they turned out and I am about to order more right now.

Remarkably powerfull magnets. I used this to temporarily secure a mailbox's latching mechanism-- the small size surprised me.

Perfectly sized for smaller projects such as war game miniature converting or kitbashing toys, these magnets are a godsend to the advanced modifier. The only potential problem is that they are EXTREMELY strong, and, in fact, often stronger than whatever bonding agent is used to attach them to your chosen surface. If affixed with care and diligence, they are amazing.

Even at this small size, these can easily hold several pieces of paper or a photo. Biggest issue with them is that they are so small, so they can be hard to handle. And definitely, keep away from small children or pets that may ingest them. But besides that, they work as advertised.

We needed small magnets to make caches for Geocaching that we could attach on metal surfaces. We glued these little squares onto small vials with epoxy glue and it worked perfect! Very happy with this product!

Pros: Super strong!
