Book Description

Lito is a construct given life by the Theurgist Garvin to defend Tyrealla, Garvin’s daughter.

It won’t be easy, because they’re about to be attacked by the Kelits, fierce warriors who paint themselves blue and file their teeth. Their leader is a Dark Mage who will stop at nothing to accomplish his goal.

The Dark Mage seeks immortality – which he believes he can gain through the use of a jewel that forms part of Tyrealla’s favorite necklace.

Added to this are the complications that Lord Cirovan believes Lito was made to protect him, Tyrealla treats him as if he were repulsive, and, because of how he came into being, Lito doubts that he qualifies as fully human.

Will Lito be able to help defeat the invading Kelits? Will he be able to save Tyrealla from the Dark Mage? Will he win her over, or learn to accept who and what he is?

You’ll have to read the book to find out.

Mage-Wrought is a fine example of the fantasy genre. Well written with a nice story arc. The story has some great characters and a nice premise. I can't wait to read the sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Epic Novel by a Fine Writer May 2, 2012

Mage-Wrought is a very professional looking book with clean editing, good flow, and nice pacing. I enjoyed the author's clear style, the unique take on the fantasy genre, and the great characters. I haven't had a chance to finish the book yet, but it looks pretty amazing. Kudos to the Author for beta-ing out his other book too! I hope this fine novel gets the respect it deserves.

I can't wait to read more about Lito!

4.0 out of 5 stars Original and well-written March 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
With an odd, fantasy twist on Frankenstein's monster concept, P.B. Dillon has published a compelling and well-written story.
The characters and plot were well thought-out and executed, believable and either likeable or hated depending on their position. Lito, the main character who the story is based around, is a unique and unlikely hero that many authors would hesitate to attempt. He invokes sympathy and respect, as well as a small degree of revulsion.
My only complaints with this book are the over-use of commas (which is not uncommon in indie books) and that it is very short for the price. While I got this book when it was offered for free, I see now that it is offered for $4. While a good read, and worth purchasing, I do not think a book that is 175 pages should cost so much. $1 per 100 pages, or thereabouts, is what I usually see for ebooks and believe is appropriate. Sadly, because the second book is $5 at only 164 pages, I will not be purchasing it, despite my desire to know what happens.

More About the Author

P. B. Dillon has been a professional writer since 1999. He has written millions of words in the form of articles, blog posts, user guides, press releases, case histories, technical documents and dozens of short stories, under several different names.

Before turning to writing, he worked in a number of ordinary jobs (he was a security guard, a shoe and handbag repairman, a call centre worker and a clerk in a store) and one that was more unusual: he was a street performer with an hour-long juggling and magic act, with a finale that included fire, an apple, a fork and a giraffe unicycle.
