The Magellan 980827 12/24-Volt Power Adapter with Cigarette Lighter Adapter For the Magellan RoadMate 800 only. Plug the 12-24 V power adapter into the cigarette lighter of your car, truck, motorcycle or RV for continuous navigation, music listening or photo viewing entertainment. This replacement vehicle power adapter will also charge the on-board Li-Ion battery while you navigate. Full battery re-charge time varies depending on product use while charging, anywhere from 2 to 4 hours (possibly longer when in GPS navigation mode).

My car adapter for Magellan Roadmate 2000 quit working. It was miserable resorting back to road maps. Amazon to the rescue. The right product at a good price shipped quick. My Navigator is working like a charm again--so good to hear my Magellan girl's voice!

It is said, 'Keep your powder dry!' when talking about rifles and guns. The same can be said of your GPS power adapter. Keep it dry and protected from the weather. I didn't and needed a replacement when mine stopped working.
This adapter is a genuine Magellan replacement item for use with their Crossover GPS. It is available on the Magellan website for considerably more than the price here... Duh... Magellan 980827 12/24-Volt Power Adapter

I needed a replacement car adapter for my magellan GPS. I went to the Magellan website and found the item I needed. I then saw that I could order it from Amazon from a reseller. I checked a few dealers and found a New Hampshire dealer who had the adapter for half of what Magellan wanted at their website. I received the item within a week in perfect condition. I am happy with the adapter and also the great price I was able to buy it for. I would endorse the New Hampshire company and would buy again from them in the future. Great service and good prices are often hard to find via the internet.
