Before you buy this you need to know that while the price is excellent it is almost useless since it does not contain the most critical part, the cradle which actually holds the GPS unit on the bracket. This is not available from this seller only from MAGELLAN ($15 with shipping) and they are chronically out of stock. So I am in the same place I was in before making this purchase. If you need to replace the entire two piece original unit this product is not for you.

Far better than the standard gooseneck and swill on older models; stays on the window better, holds the GPS more securely. Why are accessories so expensive for these things anyway?

The item I received when ordering this was NOT the product pictured. It was a window mount that did work with the same Magellan product, but was not the original one received with the GPS/ the one pictured! It does not work in the same way, and is not adjustable like the one I thought I was ordering. I'm keeping it as a back up but glued the one that was broken because it works better.

It arrived quickly, was packaged very well and works perfectly with my Magellan Roadmate 300.

I bought this to replace the original Magellan windshield mount (several years old) that had become cracked and was in imminent danger of breaking. The one I received from Charger City was slightly different than the original design. The new one has a ball-and-socket design that replaces the smaller hinge joint. The effect of this updated design moves the GPS unit slightly closer to the windshield (more stable) and gives you more freedom in positioning/rotating the angle of the unit. The downside of the design change is that the second adjustment screw can be hard to reach when the unit is in position.
The unit I received is NOT exactly the same one that was pictured, but very close.
Also, Charger City shipped this to me FAST.

for the price it works, may last about a year, then plastic will break. price is right so just buy another one...

so glad I checked with Amazon~ there was not a replacement on the company website.

Now I am all set to travel!

This was exactly what I needed. This window mount is made of plastic and if you over tighten, it will break it.

I bought this item to replace the broken original item, and this one works better than the original one.

I bought this as a replacement for my wife's broken OEM windshield mount for her GPS unit. Now she's back in business and once again a happy traveler. It was the perfect replacement!
