Designed with both the outdoor and marine enthusiasts in mind, the Magellan ColorTRAK GPS receiver features a high-resolution color display. With a powerful 12-channel receiver and detachable signal-sensitive antenna, this pocket sized unit provides signal reception for sure tracking. Rugged, durable, and waterproof, the ColorTRAK also has a 30-hour continuous battery life
Using four AA batteries, the GPS ColorTRAK will operate continuously for up to 30 hours and the internal lithium back-up battery will keep the receiver's memory active for up to 10 years. It measures 6.9 x 2.5 x 1.1 inches and weighs 12 ounces without batteries.
Nine navigation screens--including a real-time track plotter with adjustable scale--show you where you're going, the path you've traveled, and the distance to your destination.
The GPS ColorTRAK has a built-in barometric pressure sensor to give you more accurate altitude readings. The receiver does not need any calibration or activation, the altimeter function is automatic. The receiver uses the combination of a pressure sensor and GPS elevation to give altitude readings of about +/- 200 feet.
