Bought this case because it was one of the few advertised as accommodating my Garmin Nuvi 1490. Well, the thing is indeed large enough, except none of the half dozen pouches provided can hold the 1490, so there's no way to hold the GPS down inside. Luckily, the top has a depression into which the 1490 will fit perfectly. I've asked my wife to make a fabric pouch for the 1490 and I'll attach a couple strips of elastic or Velcro across the well to secure the unit.

Also, the case does not include the stated wrist strap (at least mine didn't, but I would have pulled it off anyway), and there's no handle, belt loop or other means of carrying it if you plan to take your GPS hiking. I haven't tried putting it in my car as yet, but I can see the hard shell could be a pain when sliding the case under a seat, especially given its comparatively large size (10x7x3.5). The same holds true for hauling the thing out each night you're on the road (one more bag to carry into the motel room).

Overall, though, the case is satisfactory. Besides being less expensive and more convenient than others I've seen, I really did get all my usual GPS accessories inside, including the bean bag base, and there is still some space left. If your GPS is smaller than the Garmin Nuvi 1490 (e.g., a Nuvi 350), and will fit in one of the furnished pouches, this is an excellent buy.

The 10" x 7" size is OK for GPS items and it can fit under a seat, but I've already found a need to get another since the first one has turned into my laptop kit (external USB drive, earbuds, cables & adapters, etc.). I'm thinking about getting an additional one also to keep my phone & iPod items together in one case (cables, spare headset gels, screen protectors, etc.).

The combination of mesh, velcro, and three pockets (held with velcro) helps to keep things sorted nicely, and you're likely find it has room for a few extra items in it as well.

This case is nice and holds all necessary GPS equipment including the bean bag stand. Excellent product for the price. Would buy again.

I work for the military and travel a lot. I take my Garmin Nuvi with me and wanted a case large enough to hold the GPS unit, cord, and friction mount. This case is large enough for all, and still has room for more, without it being unwieldy. Additionally, I travel with my backpack as carry-on luggage, and the case is "hard" enough to protect it all. I like it so much, I've ordered an additional one for a friend. Great product--everything I needed.

The case is a perfect fit for a 4.3" GPS, which I purchased a separate hard shell case for, along with all of the cables and windshield bracket, with a some room to spare. Not too large either. I'd buy it again.

I travel a bit and I wanted a case to keep my GPS, mount, cables, and a couple other delicate electronic devices. This case is a passable option and I'm still using it but suffers from a few significant flaws. It is pretty stiff and will protect pretty well from crushing, but the zipper is also stiff, making it a bit of a pain. For me, I only unzip occasionally to pack it and unpack it, so not really a show stopper, but it would be inconvenient for a frequent user. The inner pouches are a good size but they are also stiff, and the flaps don't stay closed all that easily. The biggest issue is the velcro. It relies on the fuzziness of the case interior to stick and it doesn't really stick that well, especially as time goes on.

If you can get this cheap, it is pretty good. If not, then I suggest looking at more pliable and functional options.

I researched several cases for my Garmin GPS Nuvi and decided to purchase this one. It is large enough to hold my GPS, cords and dashboard stand as well as my IPod Touch plus cords. I like the way I can take out and re-position the flap compartments to suit my needs. The case is lightweight as well as being a flexible semi-hard cover which protects my electronics while we travel. I am very pleased with it and would purchase this one again. I wish there was ability to add a shoulder strap for easy carrying. They do provide a removable wrist strap which is OK.

Case is wonderful, was looking for case that could hold all accessories for product, this case can do this easily. Case is sturdy, would protect gps if case was dropped. Fits under seat good.

Great way to round up all of Garmins parts and accessories. bit of an off smell, though.

This case might not be perfect, but as far as competition is concerned, it may well be in the lead. I was looking for a case that whould hold just about everything for the GPS outfit, including manuals. With generous space, optional and removable compartments, this should work well for the organized traveler.
