Book Description

April 27, 2009
Ride along on an epic adventure with rock-n-roll goddess Magenta Zephyr and her colorful cohorts as they travel throughout the universe on the most ambitious musical tour ever attempted! By melding her unique metaphysical abilities with the ingenious technical wizardry of her brother, Michael, Magenta's virtuoso musical performances and mystical aura have garnered her billions of fans. To them she is the Star Child, a manifestation of the evolution of mankind as Children of the Universe. To the Daughters of Venus, she is the living embodiment of their goddess, and to the powerful Commission for Interplanetary Unity, she is a growing threat to their power and influence. There are rumors that Michael Zephyr has made advanced scientific discoveries and has created a machine called the Universe Bender, which can control the universal energy that permeates the fabric of the universe. Pursued by sinister aliens and ruthless agents who are determined to obtain the device and unravel the mysteries of her supernatural power, Magenta Zephyr and her entourage find themselves in desperate circumstances at the far reaches of the universe. Only a miracle can get them out of their predicament, but then miracles are what Magenta Zephyr is all about.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Magenta Zephyr and the Universe Bender (Paperback)
Magenta Zephyr and the Universe Bender is an epic read introducing a 21st century heroine on her maiden galactic tour. There are plenty of characters, human and otherwise, along for the ride. I enjoyed the descriptive prose and the sci-fi setting and look forward to a lot more from this talented author and illustrator.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for Sci-Fi enthusiasts, February 14, 2010
This review is from: Magenta Zephyr and the Universe Bender (Paperback)
The book is a must for the library of Sci-Fi enthusiasts. It was enjoyable to travel with Magenta Zephyr, her brother Michael, and their rock band, as they perform on an interplanetary journey. The descriptions of the characters and outer space venues makes the reader feel as though they are a part of the journey. Excitement and suspense is injected strategically as a group of rogue aliens attempt to steal Michael's invention -the universe bender. The book has an exciting ending that is written in such a manner that makes the reader suspect that a sequel will follow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Magenta Could be the Next Fantasy Bestseller Phenomenon, February 13, 2010
This review is from: Magenta Zephyr and the Universe Bender (Paperback)
Magenta Zephyr and the universe Bender is a unique and entertaining reading experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the humor, the colorful characters and the entertaining plot twists. It is a science fiction fantasy that has a very original premise written with some unconventional literary devices. I think Magenta could be the next big popular character in literary fiction, along the same lines as Harry Potter. I think anyone who likes adventure, suspense, science fiction, fanatsy or just a fun book to read will thoroughly enjoy Magenta Zephyr. I look forward to the planned sequels with much enthusiasm. I can't wait to see wht happens next in the Magenta Zephyr Universe. In some ways ir reminded me of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series of books, though I became much more attached to the characters and magenta in particular. Another interesting sideline is that this books links into the Wold Newton universe created by Philip Jose Farmer, and Magenta and some of the other characters are direct descendants of other famous literary characters, such as Doc Savage, Sherlock Holmes, Tarzan, and other famous heroes and villians. If you want to know more about the book you can visit the official web site at [...]
