Rolling Adventure,
By RLDIllion "pt reader" (centeredUSA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Maggie Pie (Fem Fist Books) (Paperback)
News flash: this book isn't about femdom, it's about a man who loves a woman, a man who cherishes his family, a man who speaks his mind and doesn't give a crap what others think about it, a man who any person would be proud to have as his friend, and a man who takes me on one of the most exciting adventures I've ever had the pleasure to read.I had reservations about this book, having discovered its existence by way of mention in books written by Jardonn Smith, who writes gay erotica of men in chains. This book is straight, but the author is Uncle to the other writer, so I thought maybe the main character would be my type, mainly, a man who oozes machismo and takes punishment like Rambo. What I got was that and a whole lot more. I got to ride in an eighteen-wheeler with Bud Richter, and believe me, the author put me right there in the cab with him. Together, we 1. hooked up with his female connections in the cities he passed through; 2. got the crap scared out of us, as we masterfully controlled trailer and truck with locked transmission downgrade into Salt Lake City; 3. suffered terribly as chaos broke out back home while we traveled eastward further and further away; 4. took on the detectives as they tried to be tricky and entrap us into a murder confession. Get the idea? That's just the half of it. And don't think the kinky sex with his ex-wife is just perfunctory. There's a reason for it, it is passionate and it is forcefully moving. Just like all of this book is moving. I felt like I's running 90 miles an hour down a dead end street (I stole that from a Hank Snow song.) Take Bud's wild ride. It's worth every mile. |
