FOSTERING PUPPIES & KITTYS!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Maggie and Max (The Puppy Place) (Paperback)
This big St. Bernard puppy and little kitten are best friends. Who will give them both a home?
I am 12 going on 13, and this book is one of my top favorites, it has a kitten and a St.Bernard who were dumped together at the animal shelter with only a note saying to please take good care of Maggie and Max! But there is a problem: Maggie hates to be seperated from Max! and Max loves Maggie! seperating is out of the question. But who will want to take a giant puppy AND a tiny kitten into their home at once? Will the Petersons have to open their home to some new family members or will someone step forward to adopt them? Find out in Maggie and Max! And be sure to read ALL the puppy place. ( If you like this double try reading Chewy and Chica, the crazy little Chiuahua pair!) This is the 10th book in the Puppy Place series

My daughter, a first grader, has read all the Puppy Place books. She loves Maggie and Max just as much as the others. These books are a quick, cute read. They all have a great message about caring for animals.

Sticking pairs!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Maggie and Max (The Puppy Place) (Paperback)
Lizzie and her brother Charles foster puppies. They love dogs, and so does their dad. But their mom was more a cat person. One day, they started fostering Maggie, the Saint Bernard, and Max, the cat. Their mom loved Max. They were 2 cute 1 big and 1 small sticking pairs. They help eachother. They are like family!
One of the things why I like this book is because it also says what the animals are feeling. I recommend this book to all dog lovers!

My daughter loves this series. It's well written and easy to follow without being too simplistic. Plots are nicely balanced, with equal focus on the animals and the human relationships. My daughter has learned a lot about dogs through these books.

My daughter loves the Puppy Place series! I think the familiarity of the Paterson family is one reason; the suspense of where the foster puppy will be placed is another. Some series are dull for the parents, but Ms. Miles manages to write books that have appeal to young ones and their parents.
