I purchased this doll as a Christmas present for a 27 month old niece. She sings as loud as you want her to by just pressing on her stomach, her mouth opens wider the louder she sings,but not loud enough to make parents crazy. While she was singing I stuck my finger in her mouth to see if a small child did that would they get hurt, there was no presure at all, this doll is very safe for small children. As for educational value "Who Cares" Does every toy have to be educational? This one will be a pal for years to come.
She is simply adorable and has gotten rave reviews from every adult who has seen it from 78 yrs. old on down. A 68 yr. old cousin of mine had me purchased 2 for her grand-nieces and wants one for herself. I myself didn't want to wrap her. She would even be perfect on a shelf for an older doll fan. I'm sure she will be the delite of any little girl that gets her....and as an extra insentive to buy her, she's $10 cheaper on Amazon than Walmart. Beware Walmart shoppers!!

This is so cute. I gave it to my 2 year old daughter on her 2nd birthday. Right away she loved it,and became very protective of it. She enjoys taking off Maggie Raggie's clothes and undoing the shoes. Maggie's hair holds up well too, my daughter likes to comb it and twirl it around her fingers. I do have to be the one to squeeze the doll so she can sing, but we have alot of fun with her. Many friends have fallen in love w/Maggie Raggie too. I recommend Maggie Raggie to any little girl who loves dolls.

I love this doll! I usually don't like singing/talking dolls, but this one's song is really cute, I love how the volume changes depending how hard you squeeze her belly! She is very cuddly too. I recommend this one, and the price here is great!!

What a wonderful and intertaining doll. My granddaughter just loves her. When the doll sings to her, she laughs and hugs Maggie.

When I opened the box, I thought maybe I should have gotten another type. BUT, when I held her and had her sing, she stole my heart. I didn't wrap her, she's colorful enough. I gave her to one of our granddaughters who is 3 1/2 yrs. She totally loved her (and she has many dolls of all kinds.) She didn't want anyone else to hold her without permission. She loves that the "scrunchies" on her ponytails could come off so she could "fix"her hair and asked me to braid her hair. I was unpre-pared for her colorful, durable hair. It cannot tangle nor come out of its ponytails which is a plus. Nikki asked me to braid hers whch I did. Her outfit and shoes are removeable so that could be called 'educational' but as the friend from Westbury NY says, Who cares? They learn to love dolls and take care of them their own way. All this to say, we love her - her other grandmother wanted to know where I got it, her Mom & Dad thought it was so cute, she's so huggable! I'm buying several more - I have 12 other granddaughters who I know would love one too and eventually they will have one each. Sincerely,

I got one and instantly fell in love with her, luckily i dodn't have any dollies named Maggie yet.
I can sing with her for hours and harmonize too.... you can conduct her, start stop her and make her loud or soft!
I then purhcaed two more--- one to give to my niece (3 years old) she loves it and my friend ....... oh she's three years old most of the time... both love Maggie to death! And thank goodness it is gentle on the batteries.

The doll looks and sounds like what I saw here. However, in the editorial review it said she came with a smaller version of herself...which I did not receive. Also her mouth only moves when you constantly squeeze her stomach...so if you only squeeze her once, her mouth only opens once...it doesn't continiously sing on it's own. I am doing early christmas shopping so I don't know what my daughter's reaction to her will be until then.
But she does sing sweet and is very cute so I am sure she will like her. ...

Even as I am writting this review - my daughter is singing the song this adorable doll sings. It'sa cute song and my daughter likes to see how she moves her mouth. A plus for my daughter and what makes this so much fun - my daughter loves pulling her pony tails out and taking her dress off and redressing her. If your not deligent in keeping up with her pony tails and dress it could be very easy to lose them.
Overall, an adorable doll and it seems to be a favorite!

My daughter (2yrs. old) loves this doll. My daughter calls her Maggie. Maggie goes with us everywhere - the mall, grocery store, you name it. When she start crying and I'll squeeze Maggie and the doll sings. My daughter will start laughing. I recommend it for any little girl. It is soft and very cute.

My daughter received this precious Maggie Raggie doll for her 3rd birthday and she loves her. Maggie sings so sweetly and even opens her mouth when she sings! I would highly recommend this doll for any little girl!
